Will EVA AIR use another aircraft from next summer 2019?
Dear readers,
Is it true that EVA AIR will use another aircraft on the Amsterdam-Bangkok route from next summer 2019?
They still fly with the Boeing 777-300ER, but that may be changed to the Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner, which does not have a Premium Economy (Elite) class.
Regards,
Rob
Read Thailand blog more often: https://www.thailandblog.nl/vliegtickets/eva-air-vliegt-volgend-jaar-zomer-met-boeing-787-dreamliner-vanaf-amsterdam/
Thanks Peter, had indeed googled several times on Thailandblog but could not find your mentioned article! Hence my new question.
Beats. This is very annoying for regular EVA premium travelers. Maybe we can all send a protest message through the website. But I don't expect much result from this: that planning has of course been going on for several years.
Protest already sent to EVA and reported that they have lost me as a customer and that KLM has one
customer has.
I don't think they care about that, but it sure is annoying. If I wanted to fly directly now, I would be obliged to fly with KLM, but I don't want that. So looking for good alternatives.
You don't have Premium Economy with KLM either, so that's not what your decision is about, I guess?
We regret that they are going to do that, I do think it will be at the expense of a lot of customers.
We have been taking a combination ticket for years, the Elite class outward and the Royal Laurel back. Just wait and see what they do, then take another airline if they push it through with the dreamliner!
Hello I am will recently flew with KLM to Bangkok directly I think the service is ok but the food _5 went back ok that they once bring a pike or pin extra glass of wine or something else not so very unfortunate I was not comfortable I would like to Eva war flies that are better cheaper flights now I don't remember gr will
I also don't understand why Eva Air stops with the elite class, elite class is always the first to sell out
We are also regular customers at eva air. It's a pity if they switch to another aircraft. But for us no reason to fly with KLM.
Eva is fine (has flown with her for years) but I've been flying with klm the last few times and they are not inferior to eva, and the price is really more favorable at klm.
Food is good service is good so why eva?
Agree with you, nothing to criticize at KLM in terms of food and drink. For a modest extra charge you can even enjoy excellent food on the outward journey (order in advance!). The only point is that you have more space with EVA, unless you are unlucky enough to find such a communication box under the seat in front of you. Then it is not easy with 1,94.
That's right, Jasper, Eva's chairs are a bit more spacious. But in the end you are just as done as with eva or formerly china. Or you have to fly business, but that is too crazy for me in terms of price.
Dear people,
What a hassle, but also take a look at the China Airlines website, whether China Southern Airlines can be booked with both premium economy class. Yes, flying from Dusseldorf is of course also possible.
Happy holidays to all and a prosperous 2019.
Regards Anthony
It is also about profit for airlines. After China Airlines stopped the loss-making flights from Bangkok, they now fly direct AMS-Taipei at significantly higher prices and all planes are full! have they also woken up at EVA Air. The elite class was mainly booked by the Dutch and requires much more space than Economy class. It is much more attractive to have more seats in Economy at higher ticket prices. I wouldn't be surprised if EVA, following China Airlines, removes Bangkok from the program. European tourism to Thailand is returning even faster than the plane flies. Chinese market is much more attractive. After the Chinese have annexed Thailand and are currently doing well in Cambodia, it will soon be Europe's turn. Those little men and women are not that tall and therefore do not need spacious chairs.
