Dear readers,

I have a total of about 250 CDs and DVDs, of movies and music. They are about 125 original purchased (over the years) no proof of purchase anymore, the others are self-burnt copies.

Can I take these with me to Thailand without any problems if I emigrate?

Thanks for the cooperation.

Jan

I've had about 500 CD's and DVD's boxed up and moved to Thailand (with other stuff) and no problem at all.

why not put everything on an external hard drive
takes up no space and no one asks awkward questions

yes, I myself have had 3000 CDs and 300 DVDs transferred, along with the rest of my furniture from the Netherlands.

    Dear,

This response is a bit different from the question but to avoid any risk at customs. Why don't you just put it on a large external hard drive? You can then send this for you emigrated when you know it has arrived, you can leave the burned copies behind. DVDs and CDs cost very little money in Thailand. And burning to DVD and CD again is possible, but of course not necessary.

Why not Jan. Provided for your own use otherwise it will go wrong. Good controls today. But what a hassle. How are you going to handle that? In a box with the plane you soon have a lot of excess weight. With a boat and import I have to advise against you, then you will definitely have to pay taxes. My advice by post and registered. (Certainly not with a courier because you will also have to pay taxes).

    Hi Bob,

    Thank you for your comment.

I'm going to emigrate and then these will go with a moving container.
I wanted to get the opinion of others.
Although the steel container is not transparent, I don't want to just put things in it with the risk
to run into the light during an inspection.
