Dear readers,

At the end of this year we want to go cycling in Thailand again. We have been there several times and have already visited most of the famous places. Through the Isaan we only drove along the Mekong. This time we want to do a little zigzag there, which we have more than a month to do.

Now we are looking for tips for nice / interesting places / places to visit, in order to map out a route.

Greetings,

José

If you have no problems with climbing I would definitely go to Khao Yai national park.
They have several cycling routes there and it is just beautiful there.
Below is a link in English of one of the routes with clear information.

Nature? And not afraid of hill climbers?

The province of Loei and certainly the south of it, there are good resorts and slopes a la the Tour de France. But you can also continue to Nong Bua Lamphu province and then Chaiyaphum. For sleeping space you could consult the Lonely Planet or visit a site for motorcyclists, they often have nice guesthouses in writing.

End of the year; in the hills, expect cold nights and fresh mornings. It can freeze in Loei in December.

Was in Buriram in November with my parents-in-law and then brought my racing bike from the Netherlands. In 4 weeks we drove 1200 km in the Isaan around Buriram
Also drove on the new bike lane.70km. Cycle path through the beautiful region.
    Really recommended,
