Home » Reader question » Ferry from Hua Hin to Pattaya
Dear readers,
We want to take the Ferry from Hua Hin to Pattaya in August. Who has already sailed with this Ferry and how did you like it?
What are the times the Ferry departs from Hua Hin?
Regards,
Henk
Hank,
Works great, great seats, an upgrade to 1st class doesn't cost much. Check the internet for times.
Look up royal ferry group

Is a pleasant crossing, but the sea must be a bit calm.
just google:

Weather can be a bummer whether the ferry is sailing at all or whether it can also be unpleasant …
It may also be that if it has been strong wind the days before that the waves are still noticeable ….
We followed the weather forecast and bought tickets on the day itself (ferry was 25% full). Tickets via the internet or office at the beginning of the pier on the corner of the first floor.
Trip was relaxed, little wave action, bottle of water on board.
Suitcase is taken in at boarding and is put back on the quay when disembarking.
When the ferry is full it can take a while and cause chaos given the small space in Hua HIn.
Ferry leaves Hua Hin around 13.30 I think. Excellent service.
The ferry departs from Pattaya at 13.00pm and costs 1200 baht per person. The crossing takes 2 hours. The boat departs from Hua Hin again at 16.00:XNUMX PM.
If the ferry is not sailing due to circumstances, the bus is a solution, for example. This costs 500 baht and takes 5 hours.
Dear Henk,
The ferry from Hua Hin departs every day at 16.00 p.m., there is only 1 crossing per day.
Greetings,
Guido (Hua Hin)
The ferry to Hua Hin is very good and you are there in a good 2 hours
departure in Pattaya is at 13 pm and in Hua Hin at 16 pm
You can buy your ticket in advance at the bali hai pier in Pattaya
If the ferry does not leave due to bad weather, you can choose to move your date or ask for your money back, no problem.
I wish you good sailing

Perfect for going by ferry when the sea is flat.
With a bit more wind don't forget to take a pill against seasickness otherwise your stomach will play up.
Rather go by ferry because of the time savings compared to the bus and or car.
Google to find a website to book or you can buy tickets locally in Pattaya and Hua Hin.
Please show your passport when purchasing tickets.
BEST REGARDS,
Aad
It is a pity that no motorbikes are allowed, that would be ideal
I went from Pattaya to Hua Hin at the end of March, calm seas, boat very empty (max 10% of the seats occupied). After an hour we had engine trouble and the speed had to be reduced considerably, the crossing took almost 4 hours instead of the usual 2.
1250 baht at 16 pm from Hua Hin to Pattaya and sitting in the middle of the boat is much better, less nausea
