Hello dear readers,

I'm Jonathan and I've lived in Thailand for 2 years. Actually, I have a simple question that I've heard several things about.

Does anyone know what a container to Bangkok costs and how long it takes? From Antwerp or Amsterdam or even France?

thanks in advance

Regards,

Jonathan

My container arrived in Belgium in September 2010, price 1450 euros, customs clearance and transport and unloading in Ayutthaya 850 euros
together = 2300 euros, fine , in Thailand 8000 baht.
Everything perfectly arranged by Transpack Rotterdam.
Extra paid 1 hour more for loading and 200 euros in Rotterdam for scan of container (this was unlucky, since every so many containers is chosen from one.
    On the road, 7 weeks.
Made a very detailed inventory, packed and loaded myself (with some friends)

My experiences with Transpack are also VERY good. We arranged a second shipment with them from Rotterdam to Bangkok on August 28. Duration about 43 days. If you are interested I can give you the name of my contact person. In addition to containers, Transpack also works with prices in cubic meters.

I have never done that, but I know from friends that you have to take into account the very high costs for importing a container into Thailand.

    good luck

I entered everything in the name of my wife, who stayed in Be for 3 years, and took the clause "return to Thailand", import tax free, but the fine I had to pay was because I had too many electrical appliances

Paid 2100 euros last year at Windmill Forwarding for 12 m3 in a shared container. Packing and delivery in The Hague done myself, but everything neatly and undamaged delivered to my village in northern Thailand within 3 months ... no additional costs because the entire container is in the name of the returning Thai. Good inventory lists and all items stickered with barcode etc ... Really perfectly arranged.

At the beginning of 2012 we shipped a 20 ft container from Barendrecht (NL) to Mae Rim (Northern Thailand)
the total cost from door to door incl. packing the container was euro 5600. incl all expenses. Packed the boxes myself in NL. The container was done by Euromovers. total travel time 5 weeks incl. the time needed for customs clearance. No import duties if you can present a visa issued in Thailand. Very satisfied with Euromovers, and the Thai counterpart. The container was transferred to a truck in Lat Krabang to avoid return costs for the container.
Provide your own packing list. all boxes are numbered per floor, and have been neatly delivered to the relevant floor by the shippers.

I get a lot of containers from TH to NL via TOP-R'dam 010-2831908 http://www.top.nl respectively Proffreight- BKK 02-7116111
As a new resident, you can overtake one-time household goods without import duties. Do draw up a very specified loading list. Eg: TV once free, so not one for every room. Not even the contents of an entire wine cellar with 10.000 bottles.
Transit time approx 30 days Rdm-BKK. With a partial container ( less container load lcl ) you depend on what else needs to be done with it and for whom. Price per m3.
    Cost: will be near luc.cc

I see the prices of the container you have already received. The high costs can be due to the import duties.
and possibly how long the container has been at the port. It is important to make a good inventory list.
the shipping agent will also calculate costs
    Succes

I shipped a shared container with Windmill Forwarding to Chumphon . Everything self-packed in sturdy cardboard boxes with the necessary protective material. At home in Geraadsbergen, Belgium, collected by Windmill. Don't have to make lists, don't have to do anything from administration. Have paid a good 3.5 Euro for 400m³ with a weight of about 800kg to BKK. Communication with Windmill = perfect ... shipment and arrival at Chumphon = perfect ... no damage whatsoever and it concerned the most fragile items, especially kitchen utensils and delicate electronics (am a radio amateur). Definitely contact Windmill, it is RECOMMENDED. No extra customs fees to pay.

    regards, eddy

Have very good experience with windmail the hague. At home they packed everything 12 m3 300 euro m3, they arrange everything. 1 month later at home in phuket undamaged. No further costs, they do the handling, and you can see where your cargo is via one tractor

    Hallo,

5 to 6 years ago, shipping a container to bangkok cost between 2500 and 3000 euros. And lasted about 3 weeks, but that's not all. If the container arrives in Bangkok and you want to have it transported, you will have to pay another 15 to 20000 baht at Thai customs. Good luck

Contact Windmill - shipped last year - everything perfect and a very good price.
30 days plus minor delay due to storm. Recommended!

Last year we shipped a container from Antwerp to Thailand.
The container consisted of 2 crates with a total weight of 306 kg.

The crates were shipped in Belgium in mid-October and arrived in Bangkok on Friday 6 December – so about 8 to 9 weeks.
The handling on the Thai side was simply exemplary - fast, professional and very communicative - arrived on December 6 in Bangkok and delivered on December 7 Sukhothai - 500km) speaks for itself - and every step immediately confirmed with an email.
The Thai firm is Dextra (http://dextragroup.thailand.com/), we mainly had contact with Nattakul Chimmuang (she also speaks French) and Jintana Khajornkiatnukul - when we arrived in Thailand in September we visited them to explain everything clearly and provide them with all the necessary documents.

A 'typical Thai' problem soon surfaced – a returning Thai can import personal items without import tax if they have been out of the country for longer than a year (ie 365 days). My wife has been from Thailand since 2008 – so 5 years – but since we regularly went on leave, the longest consecutive period from Thailand was only 354 days !!!.
After a long question session to know all the details, they mediated very well, so that the final import tax came to (rounded) 6.000 Bath.

The cost: to get those 306 kg from Belgium to here, we paid 1.680 Euro (including all administration) for the shipment via boat from Belgium to Thailand and (rounded off) 50.000 Bath (including all administration) for home delivery here in Thailand.
    Total approximately: 2800 Euro.

In December 2013 I also had Windmill move part of my household effects to Thailand.

No nagging, no hassle. Really perfectly arranged from house to house and had no further involvement. Everything arrived without a scratch.
It was difficult to find a good and reliable carrier, but Windmill was a golden opportunity and I was extremely satisfied.
As others have stated: A RECOMMENDATION

About two years ago I asked for prices from various companies and presented them with a list of what should come in a crate, not an entire container. When I made the conclusion, I concluded that it would be better to sell everything and buy new in Thailand. Everything that is shipped is rarely new. There were only a few things that I was emotionally attached to, including my record and CD collection. These have remained in Belgium. Other items are available in Thailand such as fridge, freezer and TV. I have determined that the imported items would have doubled in value upon arrival at destination. Possibly even more. Considering possible costs in import duties, I am not married to a Thai.

I want to send a container in September from Antwerp to Bangkok. The price is 1500 euros, but a 20-foot container will be on the road for 5 weeks. I don't know the costs there.
