Dear readers,

I read with great pleasure Thailandblog and now I have a question.

We like to cycle in the Changmai area. Can someone give me information if you can cycle from Chang klan road in Changmai along the Pingriver to Lamphun?

I am also recommended for other nice cycling routes of approx. 35 km.

Thank you very much already.

Marijke

That's right, I have already done this route a few times with a moped, so it can also be done with a bicycle, good luck with it

Highly recommended this route! Just drove myself. Take the west bank on the way there, indeed the first part is quite busy, especially during rush hour, but especially after the height of Ban Tawai, the road becomes very quiet. A wonderful asphalted road for cycling or scootering! Fewer places to eat and drink along the way. Lamphun is a nice walled town with some beautiful mudflats! Go back through the east bank. This is further away from the Ping. Near Chiangmai, a visit to the former leper colony with beautiful colonial buildings is impressive. The old town is also along the route. For other beautiful routes, especially outside Chiangmai, I recommend chiangmaibicycle.com.

Yes, that is very possible. The first 8 to 9 km (calculated from Suriwayong Rd) are very busy, after that it is a lot quieter. I just cycled this tour (Jan 15).
    Have fun!

Yes, you can, I did it with a moped a few years ago, I then had many road works as obstacles, but that will be over now

    regards computing

Yes, I did the same road with a scooter, just drove quietly at 30/40 km per hour.
Very nice route, just like the Vecht between Maarssen and Loenen, but different.

    Greetings Nico

Try es on your mobile phone, tablet or PC “google-maps” then key in Chiangmai and you can get the most extensive cycling routes if you also click on “walking”, because where you can walk you can also cycle. By the way, this tour is only about 20 km!!
