Dear readers,

At which ATMs of banks can I withdraw more than 10.000 baht? I don't feel like paying 220 baht for a withdrawal of 10.000 baht.

Regards,

Do

    Bangkok Bank Krungsi

    At all banks.

There are 2 limits: that of your own bank, often 500 euros per day, and that of the ATM, nowadays usually 30 bills, sometimes 20 bills. So if there are 1.000 Baht notes in the machine, the ATM withdrawal limit is 30.000 or 20.000 Baht.

Just used the Aeon ATM and the screen says MAX Baht 20000-. BKK Bank, SCB bank same max Baht 20000-.

Moreover, at this bank you do not pay 220 B but 150 B per transaction.

Pin with which bank card? Dutch or Thai bank?
At 10.000 it says fast processing, but you can also enter a desired amount, 20.000 is always possible (provided there is so much on the account) I usually use the Bangkok Bank.

Wil writes that she does not want to pay 220 Baht. And of course you only pay with a Dutch or other non-Thai bank card. Outside the currency surcharge, ING and ABN charge € 2,25 per PIN transaction. So in fact Wil pays 300 Baht for withdrawing 10.000 Baht. Being able to withdraw a larger amount is therefore relatively cheaper, but 20.000 Baht at a time will not work. With a Dutch bank card you can only withdraw € 500 per day in non-European countries and given the current exchange rate you will end up around 18.500 Baht. However, many Thai banks want to earn as much as possible from debit card transactions with foreign cards and therefore limit the withdrawal to 10.000 Baht. At the Krungsi machines (yellow) you have the best chance of being able to withdraw more than 10.000. Sometimes it also works at ATMs of other banks. Sometimes it also depends on whether there are 1000 Baht notes in the machine. Just try it out at the different machines, fill in 18.000 and if that doesn't work, then lower it to 17.000. If that doesn't work, try another machine/bank. Cumbersome but unfortunately. In the past, I had the experience that vending machines at Suvarnabhumi airport spent well over 10.000. Good luck.

Withdraw with Dutch bank in advance and the daily limit can be increased.

        Nonsense.

ING NL refuses to increase the limit. Only possible in the Netherlands.

Absolutely nonsense what you wrote. Increasing the (daily) limit of amounts to be withdrawn is only possible for withdrawals at the terminal of your own Dutch bank. Debit card payments outside Europe with a Dutch bank card are limited to a maximum of € 500 by default and that limit cannot be changed.
With a credit card issued by ICS, you can withdraw more money, even up to € 3.000. (depending on which card you have). In addition to the exchange rate surcharge of 1,5 to 2%, the credit card company will charge a withdrawal fee of 4%, unless you have a positive balance, in which case 1% will be charged with a maximum of € 1,50. Paying with a credit card can then be cheaper than with a debit card.
I myself have a Thai bank account, if I have sufficient balance it is usually no problem to withdraw 20.000 Baht in Thailand with my Thai (Kasikorn) bank card. But when I want to withdraw baht with my Dutch ING or ABN bank card, the withdrawal at many banks is limited to 10.000 Baht, significantly less than the daily limit of € 500.=. For every pin withdrawal, regardless of the amount, with my Dutch bank card, 220 Baht will be charged by the Thai bank. By providing a maximum of 10.000 Baht, you have to pin more often, so checkout for the Thai banks. Seems pretty clear to me but you can call that nonsense. I wonder what explanation you have for this.

Withdrawal in Thailand with a Thai debit card is limited to a much lesser extent. With my Bangkok Bank card I can withdraw 50.000 baht per day, although it is a maximum of 20.000 baht per transaction. This amounts to 2x 20.000 and 1x 10.000 pins.
Be aware that in Thai ATMs, unlike in NL, the money comes out first and your debit card later! I'm sure I won't be the only one who took the money and then walked away without waiting for the pass. When I realized my mistake a few minutes later, the card had already been swallowed by the ATM again………

  4. bank limit says up

Since the THB is already at around 37.xx per €, 20k is more than 500€ and it is very well possible that with very advanced connections the NL bank will refuse this too large amount. So you would have to enter 18k, for example, to limit the damage. For example, many recommend doing 17.900, because that way you don't just get 1000s - but then you may be at the limit of how many benches again.
Furthermore, another and never foreseeable problem (also occurs in NL after very long weekends), is that the ATM is almost empty and therefore limits the issue per time. Nothing helps at all.
I usually do cash myself, but according to some the AEON ATMs (especially in BKK - now also at many of their Tanjai… convenience stores) would still charge 150 or 160. Anyone tried?

    • HarryN says up

That's right, at the AEON bank in Huahin I can withdraw B.15000 with my ING card and pay B.150 for the transaction.

    • theos says up

Just used AEON ATM. Baht 150 fee. By the way, only got Baht 18000 because of that Euro 500 limit.

If you have a bank account with a Thai, this is very simple. Just walk into an office and increase your daily limit to the desired amount. Must of course be on your account.

  6. They read says up

Currently you can withdraw a maximum of 18000 baht (is 500 euros) with a Dutch bank card at the aauromats, I always use the one from the Bangkok bank. It's very simple, value Thai baht x 500 minus the withdrawal fee

  7. Jack Reinders says up

I pin what I can pin, so the maximum if it is on the account and that is 25000 bath at Bangkok Bank. You log in, do not use the pre-programmed amounts and you go to withdraw, then saving and then enter the desired amount. If you have to withdraw money via your Dutch or Belgian account, you do indeed pay the main price and, in addition to the 220 Bath, also an unfavorable exchange rate. Consider opening an account with a Thai bank, or bringing enough cash in Euros to exchange here.

I now always know more than 10.000 bath pins with my rabobank world pass for this I could only pin a maximum of 10.000 bath when I had abn amro card. I had asked for an increase but could not only be increased if you called them in advance. said about the time difference thailand - holland and if i could have their 06 because if i went to pin 8 o'clock thai time i will call them at 2 o'clock at night.
is now with Rabobank with a total package and also saves bank costs per time pinning the Netherlands

  9. According to says up

    Hoi
I can just pin 30000 with rabo or knab only at the yellow vending machines of krungsthai.

    Greetings Theo

  10. Yes says up

This is possible with every ATM .... depends on your own limit that has been set, not on the machine
