Dear readers,

I want to go from chaiyaphum to pattaya by car. I would like to know if there is a website that indicates which roads are closed due to flooding.

I prefer to drive route 201,205,304 and 331. But maybe route 201,2,9,7 is safer now?

Thanks in advance,

Groet

Hans.

    Hi Hans,

I don't know anything about any flooding, but I drove from Korat to Pattaya in August via 304 and 331. Given all the roadworks in the mountains (304) on the way back, I took 7, 9 and 2. Didn't save much time though. By the way, if you go via the 2 you can also use the bypass for Saraburi, the 362. On that road people are also busy working for the express highway. On the 2 in the mountains near the large lake, work is also underway on the express highway. In short, on both routes you will suffer from roadworks.

    Regards.

I often use google maps in thailand. It also includes all "obstacles" breaks and closures during driving in the instructions.

Google Maps is by far the best solution. I also always use GoogleMaps for my tours in Thailand.

Google Maps is not infallible, but I wouldn't know anything better either.
