Dear readers,

I once felt like something different than the delicious Thai food. I walked into the cozy restaurant Avra in Sukhumvit soi 33 in Bangkok. And, I didn't know that until now, I also liked Greek cuisine. Highly recommended for people who want something different.

Do you have any more recommendations of good restaurants in Bangkok?

Thank you.

Regards,

Jan

I think it would indeed be great if there was a list of international restaurans in Bangkok… Is there a real Spanish restaurant in Bangkok?

      Hi Jasmine,
I recommend you take a look at the restaurant 'Barcelona Gaudi' in Sukhumvit soi 23, a reasonable walk via MRT station Sukhumvit / BRT station Asok. The restaurant is also open upstairs.
      Tasty, Paul

It is very difficult to recommend a restaurant to other people if you do not know exactly what they like, both in terms of ambiance, price and cuisine.
It doesn't make much sense to reinvent the wheel either. There is a site tripadvisor.com where you can fill in Bangkok and then click on Restaurants.
A list of 9.258 restaurants in Bangkok appears, with a description, map, reviews, photos, etc.
Of course it is also possible to filter on 'kitchen' and if I only click on 'Spanish' I am left with 41.
    Success.

When I visit Bangkok I often end up in the MBK shopping center, which you can easily walk into from the National Stadium BTS station. After shopping, always have something to eat in the food court 'The Fifth Food Avenue' on the 5th floor, where you can also enjoy Greek specialties in addition to Thai, Chinese, American and Italian. (Note that before the entrance to “The Fifth' you will first pass a traditional Thai food court). You will also find a wide variety of restaurants in 'Terminal 21', accessible via Sukhumvit MRT station or Asok BTS station. Particularly pleasant in good weather is to get on a boat that sails over the Chao Phraya (e.g. from BTS station Saphan Taksin). There are restaurants at many stops along the way by boat. Always a surprise and beautiful view guaranteed. Those who enjoy a beer or glass of wine should be prepared for the fact that some of these restaurants do not serve alcohol in the afternoon.
