Dear readers,

For the first time I'm going back to my native Thailand after the summer of 2022. I want to stay there for a while and travel around. Unfortunately I don't speak the language (I'm learning the basics online but it's not really easy). Do you have friends/acquaintances living there?
I want to travel around Thailand by car for 3-4 months and see as much of the country, culture and people as possible. After that I will start a big tour in Asia from half year to year.

Please put a question to your Thailand experts I love nature, the local people, foods & drinks 'street food'. What would you recommend me to visit? Want to visit the most beautiful places in Thailand. Don't like busy busy and more busy. Please with any explanation. And I want to stay in the most beautiful unique accommodations that Thailand has. Can be from a luxurious 5 star hotel to a hotel in the middle of nature. As long as it is clean and some comfort. Free of 'vermin' because my partner will also travel with me, I hope. Anyway, I want to do a diving course in Thailand (master). Leaving by September I think. Want to 'celebrate' New Year's Eve in Bangkok.

Thank you in advance for your contribution.

Regards,

Khun S

I don't know many beautiful and interesting things, but I do have a website for you.
It loads slowly for me but is definitely a source of information I think.
We wish you a lot of fun with the preparations and the stay later.

    Dear Khan S,
Great idea to finally go back to your birthplace and that will be quite a sensation.
Too bad you don't speak the language as a Thai-looking young man!
I have a Belgian acquaintance, born in Belgium 100% Thai, and had never been to Thailand.
    Did you go on vacation?
But that turned out to be a deception. She was accused everywhere that she felt superior to Thais because she did not want to speak Thai.
But she didn't speak it either, unfortunately for her, on those few words she picked up from Mom and Dad.
    Then went to Thai lessons.
    Welcome to Thailand

Every year a special festival for the monkeys is organized in Lopburi. The festival takes place on the last weekend of November and is a major attraction for locals and foreign visitors.
    What Ubosatharam, old but beautiful!
also called Wat Bot Manorom, is an ancient temple on the bank of the Sakae Krang River, in Uthai Thani. The temple consists of four parts, the Ubosot, the Wihaan, the Uthai Phutthasapha and the Phae Bot Nam. The small ordination hall (Ubosot) is particularly beautifully decorated with murals. They show a biography of Buddha from his birth until he enters Nirvana. Route: BKK to Saraburi follow Highway no 1 to Lopburi to Chainat to road 3265 Uthai Thani (Sabua The Terrace Homestay Exceptional 9.8 or Phiboonsook Hotel)
About 60 kilometers north of Khorat, the Phimai Historical Park is located in the city of Phimai, a former outpost of the Angkor Empire. In fact, some of the well-preserved structures here are believed to predate Angkor Wat
Route (248 kilometers via Pai district): Beautiful views and winding roads characterize the classic Chiang Mai-Mae Hong Son route. Take road 107 through Mae Rim and Mae Taeng, then smaller road 1095 through Pai district. From here the road winds along the edge of the mountains before plunging down into the peaceful valley of Pai. Road 1095 goes past Pang Mapha (the Thamrod Caves), winding through the scenic valley and rice paddies before reaching the small town of Mae Hong Son. Park the car in the center and walk to Wat Chong Kham and other sights.
Lamphun is only 26 kilometers from Chiangmai. It is the oldest and longest inhabited place in Thailand with a very rich history.

    Dear,
I have traveled around Asia for years, with a backpack. I have also been a tour guide. I can give you a lot of information about that.
Of course also traveled in Thailand, a lot with public transport, but also half a year with my own car.
That remains for me the most beautiful experience when traveling in Thailand. Visited the most beautiful places, to the furthest corners of the country. What a wonderful experience.
Unfortunately, this is all too much to send it to you in a message.
But you can always contact me by email. Then we can possibly contact you via WhatsApp or line.
The information you are looking for should also be viewed personally. Not everyone has the same interests, needs and values, etc…

    Have fun traveling.

    Regards, Toon.
