Home » Reader question » Reader question: Address in the Netherlands or Belgium where I can buy Thai crockery?
Dear readers,
Who can give me an address in the Netherlands or Belgium where I can buy Thai tableware?
It's for a restaurant to boot. I heard that there is a wholesaler in The Hague, but I don't know anything else. I'm not getting anywhere with Google either. Who helps?
Thanks for the info.
Greetings,
adje
There is an Asian wholesaler in Kampen http://www.asiaexpressfood.nl/
But you can also get spoons, forks and dishes at IKEA, Hanos, Makro etc. etc. 😉
I'm not so stupid that I don't know you at said stores. can buy wholesale spoons, forks bowls. I ask for Thai dishes. At Ikea (Eindhoven) and Makro (Den Bosch) they do not sell Thai crockery. I come regularly.
Greetings Addie.
Hello, in The Hague at the Forepark near Leidschendam there is a wholesaler of Thai food and all the necessities for a kitchen and restaurant. Good luck.
As far as my experience goes, I would say: the thrift store.
(But I never look for the luxury restaurants in Thailand ;-))
Franqois, I don't think I can buy a full set of Thai dinnerware for a restaurant from the thrift store. I wouldn't like to serve my customers on discarded plates either.
Greetings Addie.
Hello Addie,
Last month we also started a restaurant in Mechelen: Siri Thai.
My wife and I just flew to Thailand in December and bought everything in Chakuchat Market. This is a very large market in Bangkok ( partially covered). You can quietly buy everything in various shops and stalls. After you have noted everything , you can pass on whatever you have chosen to a local courier service . While you are having a drink, that man collects everything at the stalls. Afterwards you check everything together. Then they package everything neatly and then you “rent” a certain volume of a container. Can be done from 0.5 m3. A few weeks later it will be neatly at your door. Everything is a lot cheaper there than in Belgium and NL. If your purchase is large enough , you will certainly benefit from it , you have original Thai products and a nice trip on top .
Good luck with your business!
Off topic if allowed.
Where in Mechelen? Just FYI. As a Mechelaar I'm just curious.
I would also like to purchase such a noodle serving set.
Je weel wel, 4 glass/porcelain bowls with lids and spoon on a scale.
This includes, for example, pepper, sugar, sour and fish sauce.
This is also difficult to obtain here in the Netherlands.
If anyone knows an address, please let me know.
Hi Jaap,
Have a few left, brand new.
Please get in touch.

Argentis in Bunschoten, the only and largest in the Netherlands for blue and white Thai crockery.
For special tableware you have to go to Thailand, good luck.
There is (sat) an importer on the large industrial estate in Etten-Leur. Unfortunately I lost the name. Good luck
Bye bye..
My husband and I had two Thai restaurants in Belgium and we went to get everything from a large import company in Thai porcelain in Germany.
The managers there are also Thai and you can find everything there, cups, plates, cutlery, dishes especially for serving fish, in short, everything and ... and in typical Thai style.
Things for decoration are also for sale, highly recommended!!
Here's their phone and address

You can't get that in The Hague or other Asian wholesalers.
It concerns the so-called pineapple tableware.
Argentis has already been mentioned and has many items (and discount for restaurant).
They are located in Hoogland, 033-4553442.
In that neighborhood there is also a Thai store in Apeldoorn, which has a few items: Chai Yo
Hey, thanks for the good information.
Hello Addie,
I used to have a Thai restaurant with my wife in Geleen. There are still things left.
Please contact us, we can see if you can use something.
