Dear readers,

I have to pay a Dutch income tax assessment. The Tax and Customs Administration prefers to pay electronically and to state the payment reference.

However, no space is reserved for this on the “Application for Outward Remmittance” form of the Bangkok Bank. I also have an IBAN number and a bank code (swift code). There is space reserved for this, so no problem.
Does anyone have experience with paying a Dutch tax assessment from Thailand and/or does anyone know where to state the payment reference? (Do not have any bank accounts in the Netherlands).

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hans

Someone in NL or someone who lives in Thailand and in NL can switch between banking who can lose that long number.

Hans, I just thought that with an electronic payment (payment via the internet) no form was involved. Of course, you do not know whether you currently use internet banking with your Thai bank. In the negative case, it might be an option for you to apply for it.

There is no paper form involved. You do have to fill in a digital form via your screen. You cannot -adapt/change- that form.

Go to the branch, preferably a head office of the relevant bank. (A head office has more experience with international transfers). At that office they can transfer your order from a completed form with all the space for what you want to say on it, to an international electronic transfer.

Who knows, but wouldn't it be wiser to take a look at it. Call the tax office mentioned in the letter. Maybe you can also use your BSN number.

Transferred money to the tax authorities here in the village a few months ago.
We were able to state the payment reference on the form and proceeded without any problems.

      Hello Chris from the village.
Was that with the Bangkok Bank? On which part of the form did you mention the reference? Think about it yourself, to mention it with the “Name ans address of Beneficiary” For example Belastingdienst Buitenland Heerlen payment reference ………
      Greetings Hans

Small TIP, . . especially DO NOT pay from Thailand and thus make your Thai bank number known in the Netherlands.
