Reader Submission: Beware of NTV Channel!
Dear readers,
Here's a warning for other NTV Channel users. Today I received an invoice through my email to renew my subscription of NTV Channel, which I have not used for quite some time.
I'm still trying to solve a complaint about the TV box not working, so I really didn't want to renew my subscription. I wanted to email this and wanted to check the correct email address on the website, but when opening the website, the message appeared that NTV Channel has stopped.
So here's a warning for other users not to pay the invoice!
Submitted by Veronique
That's right, NTV channel has stopped permanently.
Was already of a terrible unreliable quality in recent months. Many channels were not or hardly passed on. I had emailed several times but received no response.
It also went wrong with them in October 2014, see below. eventually they started again. but for a short time. And thanks!! even purchased a TV box extra. grrrr
copy email October 2014:
” NTVchannel.com is the Thai representative of a worldwide TV network to let expats enjoy Dutch TV.
Unfortunately, we have had many complaints about our Thai representative in a short time, such as not answering questions, correctly processing payments and extending the subscriptions.
The representative has now withdrawn, leaving administrative chaos behind. We also had to conclude that telephone support is no longer available
had been put forward. It will also be active again soon. You will find information about this later on the website.
We are currently in the process of finding a suitable candidate to take over and continue the activities in Thailand, we are already talking to a party.
Yesterday we got access to the financial part in Thailand. We see several payments coming back that have not been processed. Unfortunately, it is difficult to make payments
traceable and matchable because bank payments do not state the name of the payer.
We would like to hear from every customer who has made payments or orders in recent weeks, preferably with a payment date.
Do you want to email the message only to [email protected]so that we can process everything correctly and provide the service. The “old” email addresses have not yet been transferred to us by the former representative.
For other questions, you can now also contact [email protected].
We apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused.
Yours faithfully,
interim

Dutch TV in Thailand”
I read this with some surprise as I still watch NTVchannel. Even when I look at the website I don't see anything strange. Are we talking about this http://www.ntvchannel.com???
Dear Mathieu,
I just clicked on the link you provided.
A known test image will appear there.
It still says "NTVCHANNEL has stopped"
Perhaps those who have paid for a longer period can continue watching until the subscription ends.
I also understand from Charlie's answer that they want to restart NTV once everything has been processed and they have found a suitable partner.
Damn Ronny, you're right. When I went to the website and clicked refresh, I indeed also got a test image with the text that they have stopped….Tonight when I'm home (I also have such a box) I'll try whether or not it works. The day before yesterday I checked for the last time, then it still worked.
