Our cottage is located in a village 14 km from Buriram. The cottage was built in 2016 by people from the nearby villages on the property of my wife's parents. Surface 90 m² – living room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, small kitchen and terrace.
The cost of the house without building land was 660.000 baht. We live in Belgium and that is why this is our holiday home because we stay there for a maximum of 3 to 6 weeks every year.
Since we have a 7-year-old son, a doorway of 1.5 meters has been left between the bedrooms, so that 1 air conditioner can cool the 2 bedrooms.

We have the same floor. Very nice but a disaster because you can see everything on it. We are even thinking of laying other tiles.
Nice and simple house. You really don't need much here and it's always better than some small rooms in a house. I agree with Fred and I know tastes differ, but for me no shiny or too busy tiles. I then have matt tiles everywhere and no printed pattern.
Of course no problem if you think otherwise.
Dear Marc, great house for your holiday destination. Realized for the price of a small car. If you ever live there permanently, you can build, which does not have to be expensive, at least if you have space in terms of land to do so. In this section of "looking at houses" it would also be interesting to know how old the inhabitants are, whether the land was already owned by the husband's family, what exactly they intend to do with the building, and how many people there to live at all.
A Farang of about 65 years old, who becomes more vulnerable every year in terms of health and mobility, and who only fulfills a life wish with his wife on 6 rai family land to build a villa with enormous dimensions here, raises many questions for me.
While a Farang of the same age, with 1 or 2 children on the same plot, with a Villa and a few holiday homes, also creates an earnings opportunity for the future of his children, this is a slightly more well thought-out construction method for my taste.
Although everyone is of course free to build in those proportions that make him happy, I have the feeling that many put the dream before reality.
The reality is not infrequently that one can suddenly no longer cope with the work and the worries surrounding his built and spacious plot, and that, due to a lack of young co-residents, one is mainly dependent on foreign help.
Of course one can sell at any time to remain independent, but these huge plots are often so remote, and the price expectations are often so high, that if the sale is suddenly necessary, the number of potential buyers is very small.
Completely different, in my opinion, are the independence and, if necessary, sales opportunities at a house, in the vicinity of the inhabited world, equipped with all western conveniences with direct connection to the best infrastructure and shopping options, among other things.
Building for me has to do with thinking ahead in a future that comes much faster than most wish, and here the mentioned factors are much more important to me compared to the number of rooms and size of the plot.
But everyone has their own way, and of course wish everyone, regardless of my opinion, a lot of living pleasure and long health

I am also over 65 years old and still in good health, we also have a large house with a garden.
But luckily I don't live in a hut in a Moobaan or a condo or apartment.
Due to the large size of both the house and the property, I have a lot to do every day and that keeps you young, healthy and certainly with sufficient exercise.
I see many of those moobaaners who spend all day in front of the computer or in the shopping mall or who become addicted to alcohol.
Let me enjoy hobbies until I can't anymore.
And then we'll see...
And investing in real estate anywhere in Thailand is better than putting your hard-earned money in a bank account here in Thailand or in Holland at zero point zero interest and only aiming to drain the cash of the banks and the tax authorities. bacon .

I would have become a gardener. I also only go to a shopping center when I need things. Not out of boredom.
Fortunately, there are people who have a normal modest house where they are happy with their wives and can spend the last years of their lives together without major worries.

We also have a beautiful detached villa in a small-scale mobaan. Swimming pool, fitness building, end of the street, so peace and no noise. So no stray dogs, but whistling birds in Ubon Ratchathani with plenty of leisure activities.

When I'm back in the Netherlands after six months, I can play the gardener. It shouldn't, but it can. Every time I long to go back to my mo job to do things most people dream about.

But what you describe house in company so that they only own and can sell if they want is not much of it!
*Then first the Farang must have the other owners 52% sign a waiver with the Lawyer, so that he has sole say in this!

This house is what we have built in terms of appearance, material and layout.
The roof tiles are also the ones we chose (between expensive and cheap;).
Architecturally, this house is an easy set-up and ready to expand.
I like the outside with the brick 'look'.
The surface is a bargain price for this house.
I completely agree with this and would almost think it is a copy.

These are not roof tiles, but insulated roof sheets, and I can say that the sound is well damped in case of heavy rainfall.
The brick look consists of red bricks (FCS interlocking bricks) that are stacked on top of each other in order to obtain a good attachment, reinforcing bars are inserted and filled with cement.

We also have those tiles. You can indeed see everything on it. We thought it would improve over the years, but not.
We have also thought about a different floor, but that is again a waste of money. Eventually we got used to it and don't look at it so closely anymore.
