Report of 'An evening with Karin Bloemen'

After a journey of about 27 hours due to a missed connection in Dubai, Karin Bloemen arrived in sunny Hua Hin at the invitation of the NVTHC.

The evening opened at 7 pm and the guests of the NVTHC were welcomed by chairman Do van Drunen.

The buffet presented by the Banyan was a great opening to what would later become a true spectacle. There was more than enough for everyone, and the guests had a great time as a warm-up under the musical sounds of guitarist Don.

By eight o'clock the tension was still palpable, and after Do's announcement that Karin had really arrived, there was immediately spontaneous heart-warming applause when she arrived.

The show started in the characteristic wide dress and it soon became clear that Karin was really in shape and she had forgotten her jet lag for a while. The audience was treated to sketches and songs as we are used to from this born artist. After the break she changed her dress again and she went on a rampage again with sing-alongs that were well known to almost the entire audience and cheerful, sometimes a bit daring jokes.

The 140 attendees enjoyed it from the first to the last minute, and the standing ovation afterwards was more than justified.

Afterwards there was the opportunity to take a picture with Karin as a memory, which were also immediately handed out to the guests and this was also eagerly used.

All in all, a very successful evening that, partly due to the professional organization of the Banyan, will reverberate in the memories of the audience for a long time to come.
