Dutch GP in Hua Hin opens heart clinic

For people with heart problems, the 220 kilometers to Bangkok's hospitals are sometimes difficult to bridge. To make things easier for these patients, the Dutch general practitioner Be Well will open a heart clinic on March 19 in collaboration with the renowned Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok.

At the heart clinic, next to the entrance of Banyan Resort in Hua Hin, it concerns examination of coronary arteries, heart attacks, arrhythmias using an ECG and specific laboratory tests. Rehabilitation is also available to patients so that they can save themselves the journey to Bangkok. The clinic is supported by specialists/cardiologists from Bumrungrad, who can provide advice via a video link if necessary.

The Bumrungrad Heart Center, led by Dr Wattanaphol Phipathananunth, is available daily for both advice and consultations. In addition, Dr. Wattanaphol regularly visits Hua Hin for consultation hours.

The price for a consultation is 1.200 baht for members of Be Well and holders of a Banyan Privilege Card.

The clinic is expressly not intended for emergencies. They are referred to one of the three hospitals in Hua Hin.

The heart clinic will be officially opened on March 19 by Mr. Punlop Singhasenee, Governor of Prachuap Khiri Kan Province. A number of specialists will also speak on that afternoon, including Mr. Somsak Vivattanasinchai CEO, Health Network Bumrungrad International Hospital and Prof. dr. dr. Leonard Hofstra, professor of cardiology at the medical faculty of the University of Amsterdam.
