One massage is not the other

A sore shoulder? Everyone suffers from that sometimes. But after a few weeks, the problem starts to get quite annoying. I usually visit the nearest massage lady Muang, who knows how to adapt. Not this time though.

Now my friend has an old friend who performs medical massages at Hua Hin Hospital. A phone call tells us that we can immediately use her skills. However, to be eligible for treatment at the HHH, blood pressure and heart rate must first be measured before you can go to the counter that produces the hospital cards with a completed form and your passport. That takes forever, in the central hall that is filled with hundreds of Thai people waiting for an appointment with the doctor.

We go to the first floor, card in hand, and join a stern-looking lady who looks doubtfully at my card. The girlfriend shows up and takes us inside. Take off your clothes, put on your pajamas and lie on the average massage bed. To my left is a monk who (obviously) is being massaged by a male variant.

For two hours my masseuse feels and presses all the spots in my body. She clearly ate cheese. Not the average sweeping job, but targeted action, with a minimum of ointments. This is a different (massage) cake.

Unfortunately, the monk is replaced by an elderly lady, who says she is in pain all over and proclaims it loudly. Fortunately in Thai, so I can doze off anyway. Finally it's my painful shoulder's turn. I also knew that, because my lady knows how to find all nerve and muscle knots by touch. Afterwards the pain appears to be a lot less and the bill is a small 400 baht.

I will be returning shortly for further treatment. And if that doesn't help? I understand that you can also get acupuncture on site…

No polonaise on my body. If I have something then I go to the doctor and not to an amateur who has followed a quick massage course in a WAT. My stepdaughter did the same and is now a masseuse for several years. It seems to be making big money and yes, I'm talking about just massaging.

Sometimes massage can provide relief, but massage really doesn't help with tendinitis in the shoulder. Then you really need to see a doctor.

I once had a pinched nerve in my buttock that hurt more and more every day.
I decided to have a proper massage done and told in advance what my problem was.
an hour later and 200 thb lighter I was relieved of the pain and then that “theoS” speaks in his previous opinion of a crash course in massage in a What???
I did not take a beautiful young lady for this problem, but an older lady who had a lot of experience because they have golden fingers and know what they are doing!

The title says it all. The basis for good treatment is and remains expertise. Training in Thailand is and can be very professional. And I'm not talking about the introductory course for tourists in a WHAT course. If not well trained, it can be compared to Dutch Physiotherapy. I know because I followed it myself and have had a professional massage practice in the Netherlands for 15 years. Earning big money in this massage business is a monkey story. If you mean the erotic and/or sex massage, yes, that involves quite a lot of money. Alternative ′′ black ′′ massage at home can also be earned with that. But if you do it officially and properly, the big earner is always the government with the tax revenue.
    So please qualify

You can also get a massage from medically trained people at the Department of Health in Nonthaburi. Cost 300 Baht for one hour. There is also a Thai herbal pharmacy. One can also consult doctors who practice traditional Thai herbal medicine. So a government institution is not a scam or a quack.
