Long Live the King of Thailand!
LONG LIVE HIS MAJESTY THE KING
Today, December 5, 2011, the Thai people celebrate His Royal Highness Bhumibol Adulyadej's 84th birthday.
Many countries including the United States have sent congratulations to Thailand. Queen Beatrix also congratulated King Bhumibol on his 84th birthday. She wishes him and the Thai people all the best.
The King has been in hospital for some time and is struggling with poor health.
King Bhumibol is highly regarded for his work and commitment to the Thai people. HRH King regularly visited the Thai countryside to care for poor farmers. He has set up various projects for water management and irrigation for agriculture. He is also committed to nature conservation and reforestation.
Father's Day is also celebrated in Thailand today.
