Dear Martin,
Please advise if the following products or equivalents are available here in Thailand:
– NUTROF OMEGA (60 capsules) (vitamin complex – dry eyes) from the French company THEA
– VALPROATE RETARD EG (100 capsules) (epilepsy) (generic)
– Simvastatin Sandoz (20 mg) (100 capsules – cholesterol).
– Allopurinol. Apparently also available here under the same name.
I am a 64 year old Belgian living in Chiang Mai. Smoking = yes (intend to quit) – overweight = yes (already lost a few pounds). Blood pressure = normal.
Best regards,
F.

Dear F,
Valproate retard is also called Depakine crono here. Probably not available at the pharmacy without a prescription.
Simvastatin is available here as simvastatin and under many other names.
Allopurinol is here called allopurinol
Take the Nutrof omega with you to the pharmacy and see if there is a comparable supplement.
Sincerely,
Dr. Maarten
