Have a question for the doctor (forgot his name). Recently read about the drug Intoxic. The said drug could combat all parasites occurring in a human. We can get parasites through contaminated food.

Is it wise to use this medicine preventively?

My name is Maarten Vasbinder. say Dr. Maarten.

Intoxic is a so-called natural product and has never really been tested for effectiveness. The few independent tests that have been done have had a negative outcome. So does not work.

On the Internet you will find all kinds of enthusiastic stories, mostly written by the manufacturer.

Composition is as follows with comments from the manufacturer.

Sumac (juices), one of the main ingredients, which has an inhibitory effect on parasites. Juice is also effective in cleaning as well.
Bear gall bladder juice is strong enough to be a killer parasite. It acts as if it is a parasite itself. And will kill the larvae, parasites and eggs that the synthetic drug cannot eliminate. Ascaris, pinworms, vlasoglav, giardia, echinococcus are excreted.
Ferrule Junggar extract directly affects the intestinal wall, which helps to eliminate the parasite. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. In addition to the drug kill the parasite also has antibacterial and antifungal activity.
More additives The instructions specify that the substance added to the drug does not only increase the volume of the drug. It also has a beneficial effect on the human body as a whole. Vitamins, minerals, fortified with Intoxic and enhance the resistance of users. Increase the immune response. Promotes restoration of damaged membranes of the gastrointestinal tract. Especially that bile, harvested by torturing bears, sometimes for years, seems like a nice remedy. So don't buy that junk.
If it works, it's mixed with a Benzoimidazole, like Mebendazole, which is given to children here once a year.

If you are really afraid of parasites, you can take a 100mg tablet of mebendazole (often cause ass scratching in pinworms), repeat once after 2-3 weeks. For other parasites, such as roundworm (Ascarasis), tapeworm (Cestoda), roundworm (Nematode) and hookworm (hookworm, Ancylostoma) 500 mg once, or 3x100mg in three days.

Mebendazole can have serious side effects, although they are uncommon. Take after a fatty meal. Then it works better.
For the Giardia Lamblia parasite, 2 grams of metronidazole per day for 3 days or 2 grams of tinidazole once works.

It does seem wise to have it tested first to see if you have parasites.

At least leave the bears alone.
