Dear Martin,
After a week of flu I woke up with all kinds of red bumps on the inside of my hand. A few days later also some on my back and stomach. Had been to the doctor who gave some ointment and pills without a name. What is this and how long will it take?
I am 75 years old and weigh 80 kg. Medicines:
- Omeprazole every other day
- Ampolin 5mg
- Nebilet 5mg
Regards,
H.

Dear h,
To be honest, I have no idea. The summary data doesn't really help either.
Did you take any medication for your flu, if so which one?
Have you had a fever and/or other complaints?
Did you use any ointments, except those from the doctor with no name.
Do you have itching and/or pain?
Are there photos?
For now I can choose between a few dozen diagnoses. Perhaps there is an allergy to or a reaction to medicines?
I don't know how long it will take either.
If it doesn't go away, see a dermatologist.
Yours faithfully,
Dr. Maarten
