The first Power Nap Lounge has opened in Bangkok, an opportunity where people can take a nap in between. There are 6 hammocks available in this lounge, which you can use for 190 baht per hour. The hammocks are equipped with a pillow and blankets.

Hammock not right for you? There are also 14 massage chairs for rent, also for 190 baht, but for half an hour. You can read all further details such as opening hours and location at www.khaosodenglish.com/life/arts/2018/06/14/sleepless-in-asoke-curl-up-at-bangkoks-1st-nap-lounge

A nap in between?

You may think, a nap in between, what kind of nonsense is that. But I don't agree with you. I know from my own experience that a short sleep can relieve you of fatigue, take the stress out of your body and after this nap you can continue with what you were doing.

In my working life I often made long journeys by car to customers. After the visit back to the office or home full of thoughts about the conversation, the tension and the ideas for the sequel. I would occasionally just stop at a parking lot along the highway, sit back and doze off for a few minutes. Really, it helps!

Development

I'm really not the only one who thinks this way. Power Nap Lounges can now be found in many places around the world. There are even companies that have set up their own power nap lounge for their staff. Nap lounges are also available at many airports (including Schiphol), which you pay per hour. No, Thailand-goer, not for a short-time adventure, but for a refreshing sleep!

  1. Jasper says up

Power naps are great, but a price of 190 baht for an hour in a hammock I think is really bizarrely expensive for a country like Thailand. With every Watt you can "meditate away" on a bench under rustling trees. Leave it to Thai monks to pick out the best spots! You can always put something in the alms pot afterwards.
