Flooding in Patong on Phuket due to heavy rain (video)
Continued heavy rains have led to reports of localized flooding and mudslides on the tourist island of Phuket.
Floods are a recurring phenomenon at this time of year. Residents in the Nanai Roa area of Patong were treated to a brown mudslide in the streets.
Pang Muang Sai Gor Road was also flooded, this area always flooded first. The luggage floor of the Kathu police station was also flooded.
Severe flooding was also reported on Chao Fa West Road, next to the TOT complex and in Kan Kaeha village in Baan Lipon. The back of the Patong Hospital is also a water ballet.
Flooding in Patong is usually the result of a combination of high water and heavy rain. Usually it is only a short-term nuisance.
