Dream destination Koh Chang (video)
The island Koh Chang (Chang = Elephant) is the ultimate beach destination for the real beach lover and only 300 km from Bangkok.
Koh Chang is mainly green and mountainous and has wide beaches. The powder-soft white sand and the azure blue sea make Koh Chang a true tropical paradise, especially suitable for a romantic stay.
The most famous beach on the island is White Sand Beach. This beautiful stretch of beach on the west side of the island is lined with trees and coconut palms, with the rolling hills in the background giving it a fairytale appearance. Koh Chang is also popular with backpackers, especially those who find Koh Samui too touristy. In addition to budget accommodations, more and more luxury hotels and spas have been added in recent years for the demanding and spoiled tourist.
There is a lot to do on the island such as diving, snorkeling, walking tours, hiking, kayaking and cycling. Renting a boat to discover the surrounding islands is also recommended. There are also a number of excellent restaurants, mostly on or near the beach. The nightlife is not very extensive and is still developing, you will find a number of bars.
