Ref: Thailand Visa Question No. 140/22: Apply for Tourist Visa | Thailand blog

In response to Ronny's answer to Rob's question about those 61 days. What happened to me:

I departed from NL on the 14th, arrive on the 15th of February. I'm leaving on March 15 shortly after midnight (March 15 AM, so just to be clear). No problems until the last check. Then suddenly there was a lady who could not count. I even had 1 day of slack. But a superior was called in and then it took at least 20 minutes before I was allowed through.

So the answer should be: YES, that can cause problems. That depends entirely on the people who are at the controls.

Reaction RonnyLatYa

1. Rob's question is whether it will be a problem with the E-visa application because KLM has changed the flight to a day later. Not counting wrong.

2. This also concerns a Tourist visa, not a Visa Exemption, as is the case with you.

3. The final check is at Boarding. As far as I know, only the passport and Boarding pass are checked there and whether they match. They do not look at your plane ticket or when you return. And it doesn't say that on the Boarding pass.

4. But in the end there was no problem with you. You were okay anyway.

5. So I don't see why I should change my response.

6. Sometimes it's a matter of counting, sometimes it's a matter of reading.

  1. Robert V1 says up

Perhaps an addition to clarify my earlier question. I have yet to apply for a tourist visa. Had planned exactly 60 days, but KLM now suddenly flies back at 0:30 at night, so my ticket now shows a later date. If I indicate this date with the e-visa application and you subtract the date of arrival in Thailand, you now arrive at 61 days. I have never applied for an e-visa before, hence my question.
