Subject: Immigration Khon Kaen
Hi, just making a report in connection with year extension.
Yesterday I went to immigration in Khon Kaen for my year extension, following documents were needed:
– completed TM 47 form + photo
– proof from the bank that there are 800000 baht in my account for three months already
– copy of the first and last updated page of the bank book
– passport + copy photo page
– copy of departure card
– copy of the last arrival stamp
– copy of the yellow booklet
– copy of the visa
-September 15th I have to report back for 90 days reporting.
– there is a note stapled in my passport dated October 27 that I have to report back for a check that there are still 800.000 baht in my bank account through a copy of the first and last page of the bank book
Reaction RonnyLatYa
As far as checking the amount after three months is concerned, this seems to me to be the clearest way of working. A note from immigration in your passport that says the date when you must come back. That way it is immediately clear to everyone.
Note: “Reactions are very welcome on the subject, but limit yourself here to the subject of this “TB Immigration Infobrief. If you have other questions, if you would like to see a topic covered, or if you have information for the readers, you can always send it to the editors. The completed TM47 form should not be TM7.
Yes. TM47 is for 90 days notification. Probably typo
In recent years I always did my extension of stay with my deposit of > TBH 8 tons. I am now stepping away from that, because with an income statement (NL Embassy) you are for a whole year of that time interrogative reports or TBH 8 tons and later TBH 4 tons and then again TBH 8 tons.
You can arrange the income statement from the comfort of your home for a few cents.
I do that too, but it doesn't work for a few cents.
Costs €50,- plus costs for copies and letter to Embassy.
I wonder if they only check extra on people who have 800 k as a deposit. Can imagine that if you have, for example, 2/3 million on a deposit, they will not carry out any extra checks.
This is then a check of the balance in Khon Kaen after 3 months. There is no interim check in Korat and it is not expected until my next annual adjustment (June 2020) that people will look at the balances of the past year.
