The illustrations are by Wanichakorn Kongkeeree.

She is a Karen from Ban Pa Rai Nuae, Tak Province, and is a graduate of the Fine Art Department of Chiang Mai University; she now works as a freelancer. Wanachikorn made the illustrations to promote understanding of crop rotation and a different way of forest management in accordance with the way the Karen live in Ban Mae Yod, Mae Chaem, Chiang Mai. She also wants to foster understanding for differences between the peoples of this country.

The text is by Nutdanai Trakansuphakon.

He's a Karen. Committed to the development of residential communities for indigenous groups, especially to give their young people the opportunity to return home and work on the basis of their own ancient culture. So that this culture and knowledge will not be forgotten and will be passed on to future generations.
