Drinking cobra blood during training in Thai jungle
Marines learned on Monday in the Thai jungle how to kill a cobra and then how to drink its blood to survive.
It is part of a major survival training program for 13.180 Marines from more than 20 different countries, including the United States.
Recognizing and consuming edible insects is also part of the training, as is beheading and preparing chickens, reports the American msnbc.
It is the 31st edition of the so-called Cobra Gold training, which is held annually at the Sattahip military base in Thailand.
The soldiers must stay in the jungle for a month, with the aim of promoting relations and military cooperation with Asian countries, the US military said in a press release.

I experienced it once for 1 day which remains stuck in my memory.
The exception was that I got everything to order.
I watched in disbelief as a soldier took a beautiful eel out of the water for me in a very short time with bare hands and then cooked it.
At home I make them slightly tastier myself, but in the jungle you don't have a store with butter and lemons.
The beloved drinks were also not caught but fetched for me .
The highlight of the day was a dessert of live red ants not to let me know I also consumed one in the hope that my gastric juices would soon end its life.
Next time I'll look for a shop.
As a former soldier I can tell you that you get the best survival training from a Thai (eat everything), biologist (what can you eat) and a cook (how do you make a nice meal out of it).
Bear Grillis could learn something from this trio.

It is just a pity that in the desert all those animals are not present and
it will all have to happen there anyway. Water is already a big problem.
The advantage for the Americans is that in Asia it dies from the water.
But they have already gained so much experience there, they had that with all that war
