Agenda: Ying Lee Srirumpol is coming to the Netherlands
Once back in the Netherlands I always miss Thailand enormously. I am always aware that I may not have made the most of it, especially the last days of the holiday. It is only when I am on my way to Suvarnabhumi Airport that I often realize that it will be a long time before I am back in Thailand. Sometimes two months, but sometimes more than half a year.
The loss starts right away at Schiphol, where you have to wait at least 27 minutes for your suitcase, unlike Bangkok, where your suitcase is already on the belt or even next to it. The first week is always the hardest, after that you get used to living here again. But still every now and then I search the internet for a Thai party, visit a Thai restaurant or get a Thai massage. This was also the case last weekend, when the first two weeks at home in the Netherlands were over. And then I saw the flyer of the party of March 2016, XNUMX in Event Plaza in Rijswijk, where Ying Lee will perform.
Who is Ying Lee?
Tidarat Srijumpol, better known as Ying Lee, is a Thai Luktong singer who scored a huge hit with the song Kau Jai Tur Lak Bur Toh aka 'Your Heart For My Number'. And every Thailand-goer knows that the party really gets going when this song is played. Everyone knows it in Thailand, and everyone sings along. The clip had been viewed more than 2014 million times on YouTube in 100.
When is Ying Lee coming to the Netherlands?
According to the flyer I came across online, she will come to the Netherlands on Sunday March 27, 2016. The event will take place in Event Plaza at Lange Kleiweg 86 in Rijswijk. Parking is free. The event will run from 17.00:01.00 PM to 2:XNUMX AM. The next day it's XNUMXe Easter Monday and there is therefore ample opportunity to sleep in. Given the starting time, I assume there will be food, but if I'm sure I'll report it as a comment below. Tickets can be purchased through various telephone numbers. The flyer is not very sharp, but if I look closely I get the following telephone numbers:
- Amsterdam: 0616085575 / 0206209900 / 0650246336
- Nijmegen: 0611865780 / 0653717904 / 0624204716
- The Hague: 0703451908
The number in The Hague did not work for me, but it would be from a Thai massage parlor. Then called that salon, but the phone was not answered there. I have now contacted Nok in Amsterdam (the first number in Amsterdam) and I will pick up the cards there.
It is strange, however, that I cannot find anything online about the organizer of We-Do events. I also couldn't find much on the internet about this event. Ticket sales are going fast, according to Nok, because it seems to be the first real Thai party (for Thais that is) in years.
Is this something for me as a Dutchman (read Farang)?
I have no idea, I've never been to a Thai party in the Netherlands before. But I always have a great time in Pattaya, Phuket and Bangkok, so expect this to be a pleasant evening. If anyone has experience (s) with such parties, please respond. I also do not rule out that a number of men will have to join, so I do not rule out the emergence of a Dutch corner that evening.

I have now collected my cards in Amsterdam (at Nok via telephone number 0616085575). Upon arrival at the address Albert Cuypstraat 141, 1072 CS Amsterdam, it turned out that Eethuis Pahop Thai is also located here. Delicious food too!
I found this out via LinkedIn: http://www.wedoevents.net/ , but I didn't find anything about Ying Lee there.
It's an American ticket agency.
Indeed Lex,
Party hit number 1 on Thai fesie's, parties and 'morlam' performances.
I'd like to hear it too.
Another party tomorrow night and when you see how the 'girls' carry on
going 'the ribbon' with : “Kau Jai Tur Lak Bur Toh” , usually already with some 'light
alcoholic' snacks behind the molars!
Wonderful to hear / see.
Hi William,
Now you make me very curious where there is a Thai party tomorrow night…
I also wonder where you can see where such parties are.
Greetings Lex
Had heard this this week in a pub in Pattaya but no idea who it was. It was very pleasant. Thanks for the tip. Searched on YouTube and found it. Ff reminisce.
