Agenda: Historic car show in Hua Hin
To celebrate HM King Bhumibol's 86th birthday and HM Queen Sirikit's 81st birthday, the 29th Automobile Competition will be held from November 2 to December 11. Hua Hin are held.
The event includes a grand parade of more than 50 rare classic cars. These run from the Majestic Creek Golf Club and Resort to the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas in the center of town. Car enthusiasts can marvel at a rare Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn and a 626 Packard 1928.
The event will open with dinner including music and performances at the De Venezia and the Majestic Creek in Hua Hin on November 29. Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin will host a gala dinner on November 30.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to charity, the Chaipattana Foundation.
Always beautiful to see those truly classic cars, I am absolutely not technical but I love seeing "old tins" up to and including the period around the Second World War. That robust, somewhat cumbersome appearance, yes, that has something to it. Those old vehicles are beautiful (cars, trucks, boats, trains, planes, cranes, pumps, etc.). The sound of old heavy engines, beautiful.
I hope that a car from Ladya Kanchanaburi can also participate, a self-built [ Kopy ] Opel from 1908.
Ton Hillebrand, worked on it for 2 years and made everything by hand, only the engine was not built by himself, it has become a very beautiful car and certainly deserves a place in the list of special cars in Hua-Hin.
He deserves to be seen.
