Agenda: NVT organizes a festive evening in Bangkok
This week again contains the first Thursday of February and traditionally the Dutch Association Thailand (NVT) organizes its monthly meeting evening in Bangkok.
This time it will be held in the spacious and peaceful open garden of Det5 on Sukhumvit Soi 8, a short walk from Nana BTS station.
It promises to be a beautiful evening, with FarmFrites providing tasty fries and Heineken offering a keg of beer, from which we can tap while stocks last. From now on, a varying traditional Dutch dish will be served at every monthly meeting to enhance the atmosphere. This time it will be stew with a meatball at a very reasonable price. Det5 also offers the 'normal' Dutch snacks in the form of croquettes, frikandellen and bitterballen, plus, as usual, a delicious drink from the company. The evening starts at seven o'clock.
Willem Hulscher is in town and will also visit us this evening. For those who don't know him: Willem has been a loyal member for years, and wrote about what he experienced here in Thailand. His columns in the NVT magazine De Tegel were read with pleasure and his books sold quickly. Now back in Thailand for a short time, he already has a nice story ready for one of the next Tiles.
Incidentally, the latest Tile with wonderful stories appeared again last week. Copies will be available for interested parties on the NVT evening.
