Agenda: “Civil War” in Bangkok
An American Food, Fun and Family Fair, hosted by the U.S. Embassy, will take place this coming weekend outside Central World in Bangkok. There will be plenty of Uncle Sam products available, but the highlight seems to be the battle that 10 famous Burger Kings in Bangkok will fight for the consumer's favor.
If you are a fan of it, you can enjoy the freshly baked burgers from the following suppliers:
- Daniel Thaiger
- Mother Trucker
- Orn the Road
- Happy Bite
- New York Style Steak and Burger
- 25 degrees
- Paper Butter and the Burger
- Smashed Burgers
- Eatdust Cafe
- Treecreeper (Scrambler Cafe)
You might even be able to stuff yourself for free, because through the Facebookpagina from the US Embassy you can win coupons worth 3000 Baht to spend on burgers. You must then post an original photo of your favorite hamburger on that Facebook page with a nice comment. The best three entries, i.e. the three with the most “likes”, will each be awarded 10 hamburger vouchers with a total value of 3000 Baht. You don't have to eat all ten burgers yourself, you can let your family or friends enjoy it.

Looks delicious for a family meal. To eat this alone is an attack on your health. In America we see plenty of examples of the excesses of this type of food. We should not want to go down that path here. Fortunately, the average Thai is most interested in home-brewed food. I don't want to think about being able to see all the heavyweight Thais in the future.
The Thai is also getting heavier, wider, longer, etc., etc. The number of ladies who have anna will also become an increasing problem, just like all over the world. Thai food also has lesser sides in terms of substances that can make you firmer. I thought diabetes spread quickly in Thailand when I sometimes hear the stories on this blog. When I saw this picture I thought more of the fast food chains that offer 'hamburgers' that don't look anything like this hamburger. I am sometimes allowed to go to a BBQ place in the US and I always order the smallest portion of meat and then I can eat it for another 2 weeks in terms of meat quantity. But they are already moving forward with 2 leaves of lettuce without dressing on the 'plate.' In Bangkok they also have BBQ places for the American and the Aussies, but I quickly walk past them. It's just too much dead animal on your plate.
I think there are already a lot of Thai fatties walking around in Thai cities compared to the countryside and surrounding countries as far as I'm concerned.
It is a pity that in the comments the hamburger is associated with getting fat, because that is very unjustified. A hamburger is in fact a flat meatball and both contain about 15% fat. This also applies to the balls, which you will find in various Thai dishes.
Sausages, bratwurst, smoked sausage contain twice as much fat, about 30-35%. All well-known meat products as sandwich fillings are also in the high category of 30-35%.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with eating a hamburger from time to time as part of a normal varied diet. So feel free to go to the described happening and let yourself go with such an American burger, with or without ketchup and/or mayo.
