It is interesting to follow the preparations for the coronation ceremony, as far as possible. One of the parts is designing a symbol. A total of seven proposals are now being assessed by a committee. The chosen symbol will be everywhere, printed on flags, posters, shirts, and so on.

According to reports, preparations for Vajiralongkorn's coronation are already 80 percent complete. Various activities will take place. The first ceremony takes place in April with the acquisition of holy water to prepare the monarch for the full ceremonial titles on a gold tablet, the Phrasupphanabat, and the engraving of the royal seal. A selection will also be made of his portrait, which will appear all over the country.

Additional preparations are the invitations for guests at home and abroad, logistical planning for transport and permission for TV stations. The public is requested to wear the color yellow for 4 months from April to July 2019. The ministry will sell the yellow shirts with the coronation symbol. Maybe a nice collector's item?

The main coronation ceremony will take place in May. It will only be completed in October.

Always impressive to see and lots of splendor. Hope that if I go myself there will be some nice items for sale about the coronation. I myself have two royal thank you letters from the current king and his parents as a gesture when we sent a beautiful card when his parents were married 50 years and of the birth of King Rama's son 10. Was sent by registered mail. Does anyone know where part of his father's ashes are buried in the Grand palace?
