The Dutch “Biggles Big Band” in Bangkok (video)
In this video you can see our ambassador Joan Boer talking about the historical ties between the Netherlands and Thailand. This in response to the visit of the "Biggles Big Band" to Bangkok. In 2013 they gave 8 concerts in Thailand. During a meeting at the Dutch embassy in Bangkok, they tell something about their annual tour in Thailand.
Biggles Big Band was founded in 1985. There was no name, but there was a band; a boyhood dream for the young musicians and there was the alliterative association with Biggles, hero from the boys' books by Captain WE Johns.
The name has remained but the orchestra has grown into a wonderfully rotating orchestra with swing that is impossible to ignore. Over the years they explored the entire big band literature. In recent years they have focused again on the classics and also on unknown gems of the Basie and Ellington bands.

Straight to the point, I have a lot of respect for Joan de Boer, I have personally experienced this man a few times now and no bullshit.
It is very good to understand that politically, he sometimes cannot give his personal opinion.
Money and religions along with a belief is the cause of war.
That is this man who sometimes lets us experience something on the blog for the blog about his private life .
On Phuket he also put people on their number as a pastor .
Now again for the Biggles band this man stands up for us Dutch people.
There is sometimes criticism of the embassy .
Aren't these just the people who want to impose their will?
Just like the ones who show here not only on the blog, can't live with the frustration why they came to live in Thailand.
They had already ruined most of it at home.
These often also make the problems here, with 2 or 3 marriages in NL behind us.
Their girlfriends in Thailand who believe in such a person's story are also most often disappointed.
I hope these guys can relax when the band performs .
