Thomas van Leeuwen new deputy ambassador in Bangkok
We would like to introduce the new deputy ambassador, Thomas van Leeuwen. He is the successor of Guillaume Teerling and “the number 2” of the embassy.
As Deputy Chief of Post and Head of the Political and Economic Department, Thomas will promote the close relationship of the Netherlands with Thailand. Special attention will be given to economic relations and the importance of some aspects of the Thai market such as trade, investment and tourism.
Before his appointment in Bangkok, Thomas held posts for Foreign Affairs in The Hague, Dakar (Senegal), Helsinki (Finland) and Curacao.
Together with his wife and children, Thomas is looking forward to the experience of enjoying life in Bangkok and Thai cuisine.
With his experience, knowledge and dedication, we welcome Thomas to our team and look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with interest.
