Just look, don't buy

Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, Central World Plaza and all major department stores should be avoided (unless they are having one of their phenomenal sales). This also applies to Gaysorn Plaza, Emporium, Terminal 21, Playground and Esplanade. They are all beautiful shopping centers. You should definitely go there to look, but not to buy.

It is a popular destination for tourists and local shoppers due to its vast array of shops and affordable prices. The mall is located in Pratunam, a busy shopping district in the center of Bangkok. It's easy to get to by subway, and there are plenty of taxis and tuk-tuks around to take you to the mall. As soon as you enter Platinum Fashion Mall, you will immediately be overwhelmed by the amount of shops and people. It's a huge multi-story complex, and each floor is crammed with shops selling all kinds of clothes, accessories, shoes, and more. The prices are affordable, and there are often big discounts to be found. Platinum has more than 2.000 shops. They sell clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, watches, perfume and much more.

The Platinum mall is just around the corner from Pratunam market. So you can visit both on the same day.

Chatuchak weekend market
The Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok is one of the largest and most popular markets in Thailand. It is a place where you can buy everything you want, from clothes and accessories to home and garden decorations and food. The market is held every weekend and attracts both tourists and local visitors. It is a nice place to shop, explore and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the market. It is one of the cheapest markets in Bangkok. You will find the cheapest clothes, shoes, accessories, household goods, Thai snacks and other trinkets. The market is open from Monday to Friday. The nice thing is that the stalls change every day. So you can buy something different every day. Buy skirts for just 150 baht, T-shirts for 99 baht and flashlights for 30 baht. The vendors in the market are also very friendly.

To visit this market, take the Skytrain to Asoke station or the subway to Sukhumvit. Then walk to the left side of Ratchadaphisek Road past the Exchange Tower and Sukhumvit Soi 16. Keep walking straight until you reach a small fresh food market. Here you will find an alley, where you will see many people walking down. This alley leads to the said market.

This is one of the oldest night markets in Bangkok. You hardly ever see a foreigner there, despite it being one of the cheapest night markets. You can buy clothes, accessories, shoes, mobile phone accessories, DVDs, CDs and of course many counterfeit designer clothes. Saphan Phut is so cheap it's hard to believe. Don't forget to negotiate the price. Especially if you buy more than one product at a stall. Don't be surprised if you can buy a T-shirt for 75 baht and a leather belt for 100 baht.

Saphan Phut Night Market
