I have been in Thailand for 5 months now and have a retirement visa, age 53 and live with my girlfriend in her house. My question is what happens if I stay here for more than 8 months? What I read is that you are being unsubscribed. And you are then no longer insured in the Netherlands. But if I go back to the Netherlands later, can I just inform the health insurer again and still insure myself for the period that I am in the Netherlands or not? And register again with the municipality where I live that I will be there again for a while.

Today there is a nice article in Algemeen Dagblad about the opening of the cherry season in the Netherlands. I've already read it three times, especially the recipes mentioned make my mouth water. Well, you will say, you live in Thailand, you have a great range of fruit there, which is often not for sale in the Netherlands. That's true, but it's nostalgia, isn't it!.

I occasionally check Thailand blog and come to Thailand for years for a vacation and to meet friends. I think I read that boss Prayut has said that the country will reopen to tourists in mid-October. Is that still the case? And under what conditions do you no longer have to apply for a CoE? Or other difficult stuff.

It is not for nothing that a survey in 2009 called inheritance tax 'the most hated tax in the Netherlands'.
