Question of the week: Where can my Thai girlfriend go for Dutch lessons in preparation for the MVV application?
Dear readers,
My girlfriend and I have been together for five years and I would like to bring her to the Netherlands. She has already been here four times (for three months) with a Schengen visa and she now wants to live permanently in the Netherlands with me.
In preparation for the application for a provisional residence permit (MVV), she would like to take a course to learn Dutch and prepare for the MVV test at the embassy.
Of course I looked around on the internet and there are many providers of such courses. She can possibly take a course in Pattaya or Bangkok, but Pattaya is preferred.
Who can recommend a good school?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Edwin
Dear Edwin, that's convenient, because also take a look at:

A very reliable address to let your girlfriend learn Dutch
If your girlfriend is now in Thailand and has time for a course, it seems to me that it is indeed a logical choice to send her here on a course. I am not familiar with the providers in Thailand, but I would like to give some general tips:
– Try to practice Dutch with her now by speaking a few words of Dutch with her.
– You can also go through practice material with her, there is also free or cheap learning and practice test material available online. My partner really didn't have time for a course because her full-time job + overtime already took up all the time. I then prepared her for the exam with free material and inexpensive material (study book civic integration exam abroad by Ad Appel).
– I also think it would be a good idea that you prepare with her (in addition to the course), then you also know a little about her knowledge and you can also offer moral support and offer exam help for optimal preparation
– There may also be courses in the Netherlands, if she comes to the Netherlands again for 3 months, she could also take a course here if that suits her.
– I would never buy the official 'To the Netherlands' course package, it costs more than a hundred euros while it is not very efficient: you do not prepare it specifically for the exam (you learn more than necessary), the structure is outdated (as various integration teachers indicate On). That money is better spent on a course or cheaper/free alternative materials (textbooks, study websites).
Finally: You must have already seen the file 'immigration Thai partner to the Netherlands'? Handy to know what else is coming your way:
https://www.thailandblog.nl/wp-content/uploads/Immigratie-Thaise-partner-naar-Nederland.pdf
Best of luck!
It is not forbidden - but a bit more expensive - to have your girlfriend follow a course in the Netherlands next time. It's a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Courses that I have seen in Thailand mainly teach to press the right button for the right question. Pavlovian reaction. Learning Dutch or the correct meaning behind a picture hardly happens.
I did too. This way my wife immediately became familiar with Dutch traffic. Independently on the road and she really learned Dutch.
Addition from that park. She did not need more than 9 months for the follow-up in the Netherlands and the actual integration course.
Look at http://www.hethuisvanoranje.com/
A very nice hotel with all possible services.
Cees
Is in pataya
agree. Donald is a great teacher. Incidentally, I took Thai lessons from him. 😉
Also my permanent address to stay in Pattaya.
Good morning Edwin,
Go to Richard van der Kieft.
Visit http://www.nederlandslerenbangkok.com.
He is in Bangkok and is a Dutchman who teaches in Bangkok.
Within 2 months everything was arranged with us with the integration course.
Success with it !
Greetings Jeroen

There is an evening school in Antwerp for studying Thai as well as Dutch for Thai,
You can find all the information by typing Thaivlak on the internet.
At Petchabun Visa service , Erik I have been able to for years .
It has a percentage of just under 100 percent, is reliable, and not as expensive as other things.
Soi 27, Naklua.
Greetings, Richard.
Dear Edwin,
I have a very good experience with Bruno in Bangkok.

Dutch. amb. te BKK has a list of recommended courses given by Dutch recognized teachers based on success rate and good preparation for the exam.
I visited the schools in Bangkok and I chose the NLB language school in Sukhumvit soi 54, the teacher's name is Richard van der Kieft. I was kept well informed and my girlfriend was very pleased with his teaching style.
I chose this school because computers are not used during the lessons, so Richard really teaches and that is my preference.
Good luck.
Greetings,
John Hoekstra
My girlfriend passed last week (first exam) with Richard with the numbers 10 – 9 – 10.
See Facebook: Nederlandslerenbangkok
My girlfriend passed the “new” exam with fantastic marks. She studied with Richard van der Kieft, school is in Sukhumvit.

Good luck with the choice.
My Indian partner passed the A1 exam in India after a course in Bangkok. There was no school to be found in India, while I am well known in Thailand.
From the Netherlands I made contact with several trainers, also in Pattaya, but ultimately opted for Richard van der Kieft in Bangkok
http://www.nederlandslerenbangkok.com/
The contact has been personal and involved and my partner enjoyed the daily lessons.
Everything went well as presented and everything is disciplined in a pleasant way. I also visited Bangkok myself during the course and met Richard several times during and after the course.
My partner now lives in the Netherlands and we still exchange emails with Richard now and then.
Success!

You get the best results with Richard from learning Dutch in Bangkok. Teaches well and has a very high pass rate.
My wife took NL lessons with Erik with good grades

greetings Theo
My wife prepared for the exam through self-study and a 3-month visit to the Netherlands, where we only spoke Dutch, and passed the first time.
We have done the self-study method through the wide range of free teaching materials, which is offered on the internet (via internationalepartner.nl).
We also tried to conduct the Skype and other conversations in Dutch as much as possible.
What also helped was that she studied with her sister.
A good option is 'Easy Language Center' in Bangkok:

My (Cambodian) wife went here and passed the first time…
good luck..
My girlfriend only had the opportunity to go to school in the weekends, but she also passed the first time here with excellent results. The owner is a former Rotterdam resident who has lived in Thailand for years and his wife may also help with the forms required for an MVV and their translation. I met both of them and the atmosphere at school was very pleasant. My girlfriend has made several friendships that were continued in the Netherlands.
Dear,
My wife, Thai, followed a 3-year course in Belgium. Then graduated as a healthcare professional in Dutch (no laughing matter) in Mechelen. We now live in the Isaan and have all textbooks available for you for free! My wife even wants to help you. If it suits you, just call us. Greeting,
Jan and Supana

On holiday in Thailand with my son to get to know his Thai family, I met a Thai woman and that sparked a flame. Because I cannot live in Thailand, it was decided that she would come and live with me in the Netherlands. From September to December 2014 she was with me for 3 months and that was enough for her to take that big step. She is now taking lessons with Richard van der Kieft (www.nederlandslerenbangkok.com) and she will go on Wednesday 17 June. take the integration exam. It looks very good and I am convinced that she will succeed. Many Thai ladies succeed there.
I can't wait for her to be with me forever.
Henk Conijn, Middelburg.
