A new and affordable way to Thailand to fly is with India's fastest growing airline Jet Airways. A flight with a stopover in Mumbai where you can stretch your legs before flying on to Bangkok.

Jet Airways flies with new comfortable aircraft and is known for its good service. A great option for Belgian readers, but also if you live in the Netherlands. It is definitely worth checking out this opportunity.

Jet Airways is an Indian airline based in Mumbai. With 75 destinations and 97 aircraft, they are the market leader in India. The fleet consists of new devices that offer every comfort such as individual in-seat screens with an extensive entertainment program. Jet Airways won several awards for their service. Jet Airways flies from Brussels to Mumbai with the Boeing 777-300ER and from Mumbai to Bangkok with Airbus A330-200 aircraft

The advantages of flying with Jet Airways from Brussels:

  • Advantageous rates.
  • Brussels Airport is a pleasant, not too large airport that is easy to reach by public transport.
  • The airport, located between Antwerp and Brussels, can also be reached quickly and easily by car and the parking rates for longer periods are very favorable. How about 109 euros for two weeks?

A former English colleague regularly traveled to India and was then forced to travel with Air India. He always said: “There I go again on that f****g stinking curryjet”

My son Maarten recently flew to Bangkok with Jet Airways. 700 euros in the European high season. The only downer was the 14 hour transfer in New Delhi on the way there. It went back via Mumbai. Definitely recommended.

What a terribly long wait. I once had to wait 9 hours (in the middle of the night) in Dubai. Wasn't for me at all. Then just pay a few 100 euros extra and travel via Airberlin or Thai-Airway/Lufthansa from Dusseldorf. I still have to spend those extra costs on travel costs to Brussels and parking costs at the airport. I can go to Dusseldorf by train or by taxi (friends service).

I took a look at that website, but it is still difficult to find a flight there and back….. just looked if I can go there and back in December. Will be up to me. Only get to see flights from bangkok to brussels.

During the transfer in India, quickly get a Delhi belly and then get sick of it in Bkk.

I've seen some airports in India (20 years ago) and that was the height of filth. Just thinking about the toilets makes me nauseous.

You can now also fly via Jordan for 600, but I don't like switching in the Middle East.

via Jordan is fine, beautiful airport and all comfort. Recommended!

I am flying November 27 to December 18 from Brussels with jet airways for €642,-

    • @ Okay, that's a fair price.

your flight will take a long time 27/11 to 18/12 (with or without transfers) Just kidding!!

Good day, you have to wait no less than 14 hours before you can fly to Bangkok, I thought 6 hours at Tehran airport (with Mahan air) was unbearable! Once but never again, just pay a little more.

Looked at the dates of a flight I already booked with Emirates. Go 13 Dec. back March 28. Is almost 400 euros cheaper with Emirates.
    Clear to me.

How about €259 with Air Berlin. Dusseldorf-BKK
and back with Air Asia 205 € KL to Paris.

    • Mike37 says up

You still have to add the trip to Dusseldorf and Paris. Long-term parking is not an option in this case, so you either have to be brought and picked up, which means a round trip to and from both cities (gasoline!) or you have to take a taxi, or the train.

If I were to calculate that from Rotterdam, I have the idea that a return ticket from Amsterdam to Bangkok would not be much more expensive

Gringo, I have traveled to India 11 times and I must honestly say that in the airports that I have had to visit to take domestic flights and also intercontinental flights, I have never experienced a (dirty) toilet. I've crossed India so far so I don't know where your friend has ever been and I don't find any curry smell in Air India planes. I have also done other Asian destinations and I have never had any problems with that

Please note that from September 26, 2011 you can travel with Bangkok Airways to Mumbai and then to Brussels or another destination.
There is a daily return flight scheduled!
For prices/info you can visit the website of Bangkok Airways and also for their other destinations in India.

My has a ticket through Eva Airline, direct A'dam-BKK for less than 700 euros. He left August 23 and will return October 4. I don't lose much anymore if I know how to pick the right date.

      ALSO the elite class vino??

My experiences with eva air are positive. However, Eva air does have a tendency to shift prices that are not necessarily always in your favor, unfortunately I am an expert by experience.

    • Mike37 says up

We paid 668 euros for a return A'dam-BKK at Eva Air, departure 10 Dec. back 5 Jan.
Our experience is that it is better to book as early as possible, the later you book the more expensive it will be.

@hans, I don't understand what you mean by "shove", you always know in advance what you pay, don't you?

      • hans says up

I flew back from BKK Amsterdam on July 12 this year.

At the end of June, beginning of July they had 3 different prices in a week. With considerable differences.

The online seat booking is also often not good, often many more free seats than
        listed on the site.

Furthermore, Eva-air has the nasty habit that booking 2 separate tickets is often a lot more expensive
then a return can be arranged in advance.

        • Mike37 says up

We could reserve our seats in the night of September 1 to 2, but that online seat booking turned out to have already opened at 22 p.m. and then all 2 seats were already reserved, so that was quite disappointing.

As for the more expensive individual tickets, I would not be able to name any airline where that is not the case, on balance you always pay more for 2 separate tickets than for a return, Eva is really no exception.

      • hans says up

Just for fun, I just looked, the same ticket now does 1.161,68

        • Mike37 says up

That's what I mean, we did a good job! “proud looks” 😉

    • Frank says up

As long as you stay within 2 months in THAT period. Most prefer to go later
in e.g. December and then there are no promotions.
