I will soon be going on a “holiday in my own country”, namely the Netherlands. Every time I book a Bangkok-Amsterdam vv flight, I notice that the flight is considerably more expensive than the Amsterdam-Bangkok vv flight with the same departure and arrival dates. This applies to all companies. But it is the same aircraft, the same route, handling, etc.?
Can anyone tell me why this difference exists? Landing rights. slots, handling, fuel, currency…. I really have no idea.
