The very cheap 'Open Jaw tickets' from Etihad Airways to Bangkok can be booked again. The validity of the ticket is 1 year, so also very interesting for winter visitors.

Etihad again offers you the well-known Open Jaw construction with which you can save hundreds of euros. An 'Open Jaw' ticket means that your departure airport is different from the arrival airport. You fly from Amsterdam, and your journey back ends in Düsseldorf. Check the rates from September, then you have the best chance of a cheap flight ticket. You can book until August 31 and fly to Bangkok until March 31, 2014.

Remember to check the option 'multiple destinations/stopovers' in the search screen to be able to book these low fares.

NB! the prices are not € 444 in all months. Sometimes they are € 487 and then again € 496. It pays to look and compare both via the discount link and at Etihad itself.

This time your quest may take a little longer than you're used to, but with a rewarding result! And be quick!

    I have a question.
It is not clear to me whether this is with or without a stopover?

With a stopover in Abu Dhabi. There are only 3 companies that fly directly: KLM, Eva air and China Airlines, the rest have one or more stops.

I booked via the link to ebookers.de. 477 euros and then some costs for using a cc. Excellent connection, stretching my legs in AD. Normally I fly directly with Eva, but this saves more than 200 euros and that train ticket from Dusseldorf to Schiphol is only 19 euros if you book in time. Thanks for the tip Thailand blog!

By the way: if you book via the discount link in the message above, you now pay 477. If you book directly with Etihad, you pay 517 and also via ebookers.nl (the Dutch brother of the discount link) you now pay 527. All 3 same dates and to flee…

For which period have you booked?
I looked in the period November and December but see prices from 625 euros.
Lately I've been flying KLM after years of flying Eva Air. A bit more expensive, but the flight times are extremely good and the service is also excellent.

Good tip. But if you try to do it from Bangkok you pay 41.800 baht?? Why always more expensive the plane has to go back anyway. Who knows this

As for starting from Bangkok at prices like from Amsterdam, I would also like to be kept informed.

Ticketspy refers you to Ebookers.de. Here you have to pay with a credit card. If you don't have one, go to Ebookers.nl and pay via Ideal. A few tens more expensive, but still cheap.
