Looking for a cheap flight ticket to Bangkok? With an Open Jaw ticket from Etihad Airways you will be done quickly. Because flying to Bangkok for less than € 469 will not be easy.

The Open Jaw construction means departing from Amsterdam Schiphol and flying back to Düsseldorf in Germany (near the Dutch border).

Our reader Peter Yai reported it earlier on September 5 when he booked a ticket: “Etihad October 15 there and April 4 return. Departure Amsterdam back Dusseldorf. For 499 euros. The train Düsseldorf Amsterdam is 19 euros”.

Thanks for the tip, I was able to book a return ticket for 469 euros. Outward November 14 and back May 1. So it is completely correct, no bait prices.

Sorry typo made, go November 13 for those who also want to book.

Can this be booked directly through the Etihad site?
I'm afraid it won't be allowed to change.
For the rest, such an offer looks great indeed. And Etihad is a great airline.

Can this also be done starting Bangkok – Dusseldorf and then Amsterdam – Bangkok???
    Thank you in advance.

That's right, there was the same offer two months ago. Booked for 467 euros pp Departure from Amsterdam, back from Phuket to Dusseldorf. With stops in Abu Dabi. Please note the waiting times in Abu Dabi. The four flights are operated by Etihad and often in combination with Air Berlin.

We also fly with Etihad from Schiphol via Abu Dabi to Bangkok and back to Dusseldorf (€ 496). Question: We come from Sittard and want to go directly to Schiphol. Should we still buy a train ticket from Dusseldorf to Schiphol? I also have optional NS tickets and should therefore buy a Dusseldorf-Venlo train ticket? I have read that a stamped train ticket must be presented for a similar journey from Antwerp to Schiphol. If this is not the case, a significant additional amount may be charged for the ticket (i.e. Schiphol-Abu Dabi-Bangkok and back to Antwerp). Who has experience with this?

You depart from Schiphol, so you go to Schiphol the way you want. There are sometimes promo tickets for sale Antwerp Bangkok and then you have to be able to show your train ticket in Schiphol.
