Budget airline Norwegian is completely done with the new Dreamliner. This showpiece of aircraft manufacturer Boeing has been struggling with problems since its delivery.

The Norwegian company's Boeing Dreamliner had to be grounded in Bangkok on Friday due to a broken hydraulic pump. It is uncertain how long the repair of the aircraft, which flies from Bangkok to Stockholm, will take.

This umpteenth incident is the famous straw for Norwegian. The Norwegians are now going to hold Boeing liable for the ongoing technical problems. Earlier there were already problems with the oxygen supply in the cockpit.

It just doesn't want to go smoothly with the new aircraft from Boeing. The past few years have been marked by problems both before and after delivery. Following the delayed delivery, all Dreamliners were grounded for four months following a number of safety incidents. In most cases, an overheated battery was the cause. In July, a fire broke out in an aircraft parked at London's Heathrow airport due to an unknown cause.

@Editor, Are you sure the Dreamliner was made by Boeing, and not by Ansaldo Breda?

I fly there and back twice a year with NORWEGIAN from BANGKOK to STOCKHOLM;. So now also on September 2, 12 for the first time with the DREAMLINER back to my dreamland. Because now they are indeed flying with this new aircraft. Of course I had it in the back of my mind of BOEING's problems they've been having for a while now when I got on the plane that day in STOCKHOLM. But everything went well and had a pleasant flight in this beautiful aircraft, completely with a Thai crew. So my Thai wife also immediately felt at home. Now it was a bit of a swallow of course when I heard the message yesterday on the news of the new problems in Bangkok. I hope for the future that all is well now and that it will not end like the FYRA.

I find it very surprising that people have so many problems with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, or rather Nightmareliner!

That thing has been in development since 2007 and even then there are defects and other unnecessary problems?!

    And why 'cause unknown'?

This is what Wikipedia shows: “In 2012, Boeing was able to deliver twice as many Dreamliners as predicted by analysts. However, according to critics, the fast pace of delivery would come at the expense of manufacturing precision and attention to start-up issues.”

An airplane does not seem to me to be the appropriate means of transport to develop it via 'trail and error'.

Yesterday, a Dreamliner of the Polish LOT had to make a precautionary landing due to a faulty antenna, which caused the identification system to fail on which one can be recognized.

Last night in Rome a near crash with Alitalia was an Airbus. Landing gear was not fully extended. Ended well with 10 minor injuries, but psychologically it was much worse.

Lately I have to conclude that there are a lot of incidents taking place!
