If you want to travel quickly and comfortably at Schiphol, Privium is the solution. With a Privium membership you can use separate queues at the security and border passages, so that you can go through the checks more quickly and have priority checks for your luggage and walk past passport control. With Privium Plus, you don't just go through the checks quickly. You can also check in business class, relax in the Privium Lounges and park at the front.

But it gets even better! You no longer need to show a passport or ID card at the security check, because you simply use your Privium card and an iris scan to gain access to the area behind the border passage. Within seconds you are ready to walk straight to the gate! And if you return to Schiphol from a country outside Schengen, you can also cross the border faster with the help of an iris scan. This makes traveling at Schiphol very easy and fast!

If you want to work undisturbed, have a bite to eat and relax for a while, spend some time in the exclusive Privium Lounges. Here you have all the space for yourself and you can start your journey comfortably.

The brand new Privium ClubLounge West is now open and offers even more space and comfort. With separate workplaces, fresh dishes from our own kitchen, sanitary facilities and sufficient charging points at every seat.

There are several Privium Lounges available at Schiphol, each with its own opening hours. The Privium ClubLounge Departures is open every day from 05:30 to 21:00 and is located before security between Departures 1 and 2, diagonally behind counter 9. To activate your membership or request a new Privium card, you can here from 06:00 to 20:30.

The Privium ExpressLounge is open every day from 05:30 to 13:00 and is located after security on the second floor of Lounge 1, at the beginning of Pier D (Schengen).

The newest Privium ClubLounge West is open every day from 05:30 to 21:00 and is located on Holland Boulevard near Pier E. You can enter here through the entrance behind Dutch Bar & Kitchen (non-Schengen).

Schiphol Privium membership is available for an annual fee and offers many benefits to frequent travelers who frequently use Schiphol Airport. It's a worthwhile investment for those looking to enhance and simplify their travel experience.

    Why never wait again?

Requesting a new Privium membership is temporarily not possible
We regret that it is currently NOT possible to request a new Privium membership. This has to do with the huge number of requests for reactivations (after corona) as well as requests for new memberships. As a result, our agenda for activating a Privium card will be full in the coming months and unfortunately we cannot accept new members at the moment.

Good reading matter. This is at the bottom of the article: More information: https://www.schiphol.nl/nl/privium/ Applying for a membership immediately is not possible, but you will be put on a waiting list.

This is due to the large number of applications during the problems with the queues at Schiphol. At the time, everyone wanted Privium to get around that problem.

I was also on the waiting list, but received my membership this week. Just need an iris scan.

And how much do those "never wait again" basic, plus, trial, partner, and corporate memberships actually cost Peter (editors)?
On the website I could see the prices for the various memberships. cannot be found, only the prices for the various lounges for incidental use:
        Privium ClubLounge Departures: €50
        Privium ClubLounge West: €60
        Privium ExpressLounge: €40

I'm curious now how much it costs. Can you share that with us?

        • Peter (editor) says up

In 2022, an annual subscription to Privium Plus will cost €260 per year. With Privium Basic you can quickly get through the border passage for € 155 per year.

And the common man can join the back of the queue again, this is ridiculous again, everyone in the Netherlands thought they were equal... Wonder if this is allowed, I believe that the Efteling also wanted to do something with a special ticket a few years ago, so that people had to pay more, but then no longer had to stand in line and could board. This was not allowed at the time.

Oh well, a few beers less or a few packs of shag less and you can afford it too. It just depends on what you spend your money on. After all, an airport is commercial and they can develop this kind of business. You also pay the top price at Schiphol for a sandwich and a cup of coffee, but you don't have to buy it. Bring your own sandwiches.

Totally agree Peter, pure jealousy. I fly business class and I've worked hard for it all my life. Bashing people with money is very popular with our klootjesfolk.
When I was young and saw someone driving a cool BMW, my mother always said, at least he did his best at school.

I've been digging into the cost of this exquisite perk.
The only amounts I found were listed for corporate memberships and they were a bit unclear. With 11-25 employees you get a 5% discount and you pay € 247 per year per person, (I assume).
For basic privium and the other memberships I can't find any information about costs, but they are probably related to the company memberships.
I think you have to smoke and drink a lot to be able to save that amount by cutting back.
At least you won't see me walking past that line with my privium card with a grin.
Still, I call on everyone who wants and can spare that money to purchase such a beautiful card.
It makes the queues for the kklojesvol shorter again.
If registration is possible again, of course, because now there is a waiting period of several months.

I have used the privium plus membership for years.
    Excellent service and fast turnaround.
    Lounge relaxed and good service.

Have been China Airlines Skyteam Elite Member for decades. Free and no waiting at Schiphol, access to lounges and being one of the first to put the suitcases on the belt. So no expensive privium conditions. Highly recommended.

    • Peter (editor) says up

That is quite different. Or did you also have to have an iris scan made?

    • Cornelis says up

That seems to me nothing more than a certain frequent-flyer status that is 'free' if you earn the required number of 'miles' every year. You are comparing apples and pears.
