In the latest version of KLM's mobile app, version 9.6, the new application 'Milestones' is presented. This allows every customer to see in their profile how often, for how long and to which destinations they have flown with KLM. This personal flight history can also be easily shared with family and friends via social media. In addition to 'Milestones', the updated app offers further improvements for the passenger, including a more extensive flight status update.

With 'Milestones', passengers who use the KLM app can view all kinds of facts and figures about their personal KLM flight history. For example, it can be seen how long and how often the flight has been flown, which destinations have been visited, how many kilometers have been covered and how much luggage has already been taken. App users can then easily share this personal travel data with family and friends. KLM thus responds to the increasing need of people to quantify personal matters and to share that data on social media.

The new applications are added to the existing functionalities of the KLM app, such as booking a flight, checking in online, downloading a boarding pass, reserving seats or paying for baggage. Recently, KLM's Schiphol Airport Map was also launched in the app, a digital map of the airport, so that passengers can quickly find their way.

Flight status update updated

In version 9.6 of KLM's mobile app, the flight status updates have also been updated. Based on the flight number, destination and airport, up-to-date flight information can be obtained, such as the current departure and arrival times. If the flight from Schiphol is significantly delayed, the user can activate a digital snack or meal voucher himself. The app also offers the possibility to rebook your flight yourself.

Passengers traveling to the United States who are eligible for a TSA precheck can now enter their 'Known Traveler Number', allowing them to pass through security in the US more quickly with the KLM app in hand.
