From July 1, KLM will stop selling cigarettes on board. Instead of smoking materials, other products are added to the range.

The airline believes that the sale of cigarettes on board their aircraft is outdated. KLM says that health and sport are of paramount importance to them and the sale of cigarettes does not fit in with this. They also want to show that they are socially involved.

Airlines have made good money selling tobacco products for years, although smoking has been banned on airplanes for years.
