Cheap flights to Bangkok with KLM

From June 1, KLM will be offering a number of distant destinations every first Friday of the month for five days, the discounts are up to 30%.

The offers are related to a type holiday, for example sun holidays, or to a continent, for example the Far East.

The airline wants to show that it has a rich offer of tourist destinations on all continents. KLM wants to continue to offer an attractive offer in the Dutch market.

“The Dutch holidaymaker can enjoy a wonderful holiday at an attractive price with all KLM services on board and on the ground,” says Harm Kreulen, director of KLM Netherlands.

Cheap flight tickets to Bangkok

Via the special website www.klm.nl/vakantie, consumers can book tickets to intercontinental holiday destinations every first Friday of the month at very competitive rates. The discount is up to 30 percent, KLM says. Destinations that are on offer include Bangkok, New York and Curaçao. The offers are part of a new KLM campaign aimed at Dutch holidaymakers who want to go on holiday outside Europe. The offer can also be booked with tour operators and travel agencies.

Consumers will be able to influence the range and destinations later this year via social media. The KLM Holiday Game will also go live on the promotion site on 15 May, with which intercontinental tickets can be won every day.

KLM is a member of SkyTeam, the airline alliance that offers a network of 926 destinations in 173 countries. KLM serves 135 destinations with a modern fleet of 157 aircraft and is active worldwide with more than 33.000 employees.

Looking at the past, I see for my situation that KLM and cheap don't really go together. Based on my personal selection criteria (including price, convenience and possible costs to reach an airport, possible transfer times) I often end up with EVA or China Airlines.

This is of course purely personal. Others may experience this differently.

Once but never again flown with KLM to Bangkok. Worn-out aircraft, sat like herrings in a barrel, grumpy staff. Since then only flown China and EVA, much better, in all respects. Service, comfort everything.

March 25, flew back with KLM, new aircraft, decent seat, nice chat
made with the crew and €300 cheaper at that time than EVA and CHINA
I didn't like the food, but that's personal.

      Sincerely,

      Lodewijk

During an EVA flight from the Netherlands to Thailand, I was talking to a group of people who preferred to fly with EVA with staff tickets.

When I asked why they did not fly with KLM with their special, very cheap ticket, I received an answer that more or less boiled down to the fact that the seats, food, comfort and cleanliness at EVA were on a higher level.

That said, I wonder how cheap KLM offers the tickets, and whether that offer also applies the other way around.
    Fear not.

    I'm also curious.
I have never flown to Bangkok with KLM, but I have often compared their rates with the competition, and then every time it turns out that there is a very considerable price difference.

It surprises me that EVA and China Airlines are so praised for flying.
The last time with EVA, food and drinks were served as quickly as possible, after which the staff went to sleep in the back of the plane. eleven service if you wanted another drink. In June for 30 days with KLM for 682 euros. Could it be worse than EVA and China? I'll let you know..
    kind regards AAD

I think that KLM collects 30% of the "grand prize tickets". That sounds more spectacular than it is. Probably ticket price now close to EVA and China. And Aad Eva Air flies for Eur 679 in the same period. So still slightly cheaper than KLM's 30% reduced ticket price.

I have flown regularly with Eva and China airlines, nothing to complain about service, there are passengers on board who believe they have a private attendant..
What is wrong if there is a rest break for the staff and you have to get something yourself.

Always fly with full satisfaction with one of the three directs, in my opinion they are hardly distinguishable from each other in terms of service. Always paid around €700 with KLM, slightly more expensive than with EVA or China, but not a crazy price.

In addition, EVA and China have a habit of regularly canceling their flights so that you have to leave 2 days earlier or later, for example, as I experienced last year, but not insurmountable for me personally, but for those who do not have such a flexible work environment that can be very difficult, witness fellow passengers.

Have now booked for € 704 with KLM. € 20 to € 30 more expensive than with EVA or China, that saves some beers in Thailand, but oh well, I will get over that. 😉

Never had to hand cancellation of these companies myself.
D travel also had an offer KLM with a stop over there, an extra 75 euros was requested with an obligatory 3 hotel nights.
Until when is the ticket of 704 euros valid, in the cheaper season you can fly with Egypt from 500 euros.

the problem is that with a lot of airlines you can check in 30 kg of luggage nowadays and with THAI and KLM that is still 20 kg

I often hear people who fly with Asian companies that they are happy that you fly with them. At KLM you should be happy that you can fly with them. Flew once with KLM, usually with Eva or China, but give me the last 1. There is a lot of difference in service and friendliness.

It's funny that if you select 'Bangkok' on the KLM holiday deals page and then plan a trip, the trips invariably state that flights are to and from Don Muang. This kind of carelessness doesn't make a very good impression on me. Anyway, you should be happy if you get to fly with them.

Incidentally, the photo in the article of a 747 is somewhat outdated, as KLM has recently started using 777s on this route. With 9 or 10 seats in a row, depending on the type (777-200 or 777-300). 10 in a row in a cabin that is 24 cm narrower than that of a 747 is very tight I can tell you.

I don't remember where it is on this blog but it was stated, but it has been discussed here, namely this announcement:
“From June 1, KLM will offer a number of distant destinations every first Friday of the month for five days, the discounts can be up to 30%.”

Now that I had noted that in my computer, I opened the KLM site today.
    What do I see?
    Thai time 17.41 pm….. I see nothing !!!

    So where are KLM's promises?

    • Olga Katers says up

      @.M. Mali,

Attached is the link from KLM, I receive a newsletter from them because I was a frequent flyer!
Not anymore, since I live here.
