KLM's first Airbus 330-300 with a completely new cabin interior in World Business Class made its maiden flight to Kuwait (KL455) last weekend. By the end of 2018, the last 20% of KLM's intercontinental fleet will also be equipped with these. In addition to a completely new design, all World Business Class passengers will enjoy full-flat seats and a new inflight entertainment system.

This first A330-300 equipped with the renewed World Business Class has registration number PH-AKA. The conversion of the business class cabin of the other 4 A330-300s has now started. The last of these will be completed in July 2018. This will be followed by the eight A330-200s that will be ready by mid-October 2018.

Earlier, the World Business Class interior of all Boeing 747, 777-200 and 777-300 aircraft received this metamorphosis. All Boeing 787 Dreamliners are already equipped with the new World Business Class.

Renewed World Business Class

The design of the chair and interior again comes from the famous Dutch designer Hella Jongerius. In addition to a completely different design, the renewed World Business Class also includes:

  • Full-flat seats: fully recline and 206 cm long.
  • Power supply at the seat and more privacy.
  • Completely new personal entertainment system with 18 inch screen HD quality movies and touchscreen navigation menu in 12 languages.
