EVA Air wants daily flights from Schiphol

EVA Air would like to grow at Schiphol, but due to the set limit of 500.000 flight movements per year, this is not possible for the time being.

Schiphol is even the only European airport in the EVA Air network that does not have daily flights, because Vienna will also have a daily connection with Taipei this summer. This was also the case for London and Paris.

Previously, EVA Air offered four flights a week from Vienna, via Bangkok, to Taipei. There are now three non-stop flights to Taipei.

The Taiwanese airline not only flies from Europe to Bangkok and Taipei, but will also launch daily flights between Taipei and Chiang Mai in July.

If you need to go directly to Taipei, you can also fly with China Airlines.
Still regret that this airline no longer flies via Bangkok. Gave some more price competition in the market and I was always more than happy with their service.

That may well be the case, but I did not experience it that way when the airspace in the Netherlands was temporarily closed due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland. China Airlines information was below freezing. Despite the resumption of air traffic and the plane that flew back to Bangkok, I was only transferred two days later. As a result, I had overstay and therefore had to pay.

At the time, China Airlines also flew with the JumboJet (Boeiing 747) in which you were gassed on-board during the waiting time at the airports by the penetrating badly burned kerosene of the idling engines. You are right that the cabin crew service was excellent, but it just depends on what you look at.

    At least three years please

For now, EVA comes out more expensive than KLM every time I make a booking. But hey, extra competition never hurts!

Maybe a little more expensive, but then you are also a bit more spacious. EVA has 777 width seats in the Boeing 9 in economy, KLM has 10 in the same aircraft.

Less flight offer due to limitation of the number of flights results in higher prices per seat. Directly for EVA, but indirectly and to a greater extent for KLM. Dutch professionalism with a bad-tasting edge.
Every disadvantage has an advantage 🙂 but not for us traveling consumer this time.
