Does the author of this article also know whether these are non-stop flights to Phuket from Dubai?
That was not quite clear to me.

    • Yes, the flight is non-stop.

A few months ago I flew with the Emirates to Bangkok and back. Beautiful aircraft and slightly more than average on-board catering. The prices are also sometimes – but not always – below average. Flying in an A380 seems like something very special, but it isn't. What is much less, however, is the long transfer time in Dubai. For me next time just KLM, Eva or China with a 777 or 747.

Let's just hope that they will also fly to Chiang Mai, like LTU used to be, that saves a lot of BKK misery and opens up the north. You can get there with dragonair from Hong Kong these days, but via Dubai would be a godsend
